I was always that jerk that snickered on this site about people opening up on an internet forum and sharing their deepest pains. I have the most unfortunate duty to let the Anet Family know my twin brother & best friend Matthew passed away this morning at his home in Austin, Texas. I am speechless.

Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry man. I remember him very clearly on these forums. Though I never talked to him personally, he always seemed like an upbeat and positive person.
Obviously what we see here pales in comparison to what family and friends go through, but my lord it's been a strange year here....and not in a good way.
Condolences to you and your family, FX.

I'm so sad to hear this news. I am in complete shock.
I have such fond memories of him, from great laughs talking on the phone to trying to get onboard the same flight to New Zealand and waiting for him at the airport when I landed ahead of him. Such a great guy.

Very shocking.
We had been communicating recently as he was interested in PK's additional purchase of 777s and unsurprisingly, he wanted to know every detail! Through a number of PMs and emails I learnt of his "adventures" with the USAF in Pakistan and the subsequent accident which left him wheelchair bound.

my sincere condolences ! early and sudden death apparently. To give you the advice of an aunt of me after my brother had passed away at 46 >: never ever try to "forget" him but carry his jokes, his stories, his advice with you, as you are a kind of his "rep on earth" and you carry forward !
