So, I thought it was a one time occurrence. But, now it has happened for a third fricking time!
Here's the scenario:
I go to a bar or club, and meet some cutie with a cool personality. Conversation goes well, and she gives me her number. Score, right? Wrong. I call the number, and no one picks up. No one EVER picks up. It's the right number, though. (Answering machine says "Hi, this is , leave a message")
Why would someone give me a phone number if they don't want me to call? This only happens in San Francisco.
What the hell is wrong with these San Francisco women?

In all seriousness D L X, I don't know it is is so much that San Francisco women suck (god it's killing me to not break out with a Real High joke right here), as it is you just have hit some bad luck. For all the negative stereotypes and associations males get, females are just as bad, play just as many if not more games, ect. Not to say all women "suck" (damn, all these joke opportunities) its just a matter of finding one that's not out to play games. I'm sure in any moderately sized city, men and women run into this problem frequently. Sad that high school games continue on long after high school is over.

Seriously. I've already decided that, unless this girl is simply on vacation, and not next to her phone, I've already heard enough to not go out with her. No matter how cute she was. I'm not in high school anymore; I don't care to date high schoolers.
Anyways, this seems to be the way it is in SF. In fact, the only girls I've actually got on well with out here have been from the east coast. Cali girls don't seem to be all that mature.
(Yes, I just damned the whole state. Wasn't the first time, won't be the last.)

Ya know, we need legal red light districts. It would be a win-win. Girls would know that we're not only after that "one thing". And girls wouldn't get away with the bullshit we allow them to get away with. The term p***ey wooped would cease to exist as we know it.

I don't think that's unique for SF, not even the U.S., I've ran into exactly the same female behavior more than once (...more than twice, too...), maybe this have something to do with the differences between men and women; we just don't talk the same language, even if we talk the same language...
...sometimes I do believe that we're not created to understand eachother, something about the mystery of the opposite sex...
...I have dreamt about, that one day in my life I will understand women...
...but after 12 years of marriage (...and 2 years after the divorce...) I realize that I don't understand a thing...
...furthermore, I have a 14-year old daughter, but I don't understand her either...
...anybody else that feels this confusion about women, or even better, could someone explain how they think, 'cause I believe that I never will...

Sorry to hear your having bad luck with the ladies. There really is no reason to have difficulty with the ladies hear. I really don't know how to comment on this one.
You gotta have game.
Or maybe I can educate you.
Maybe it's your image.
First you need to get rid of the Ford Escape and get a 1970s Lincoln or Cadillac. Then you need to get a lime-green polyester suit with white pinstripes. Get a big hat with a feather and a burgundy cape. Get some styling alligator shoes and a brass cane.
Then you have to 'strut' instead of walk. The women love me and the guys envy my style.
I am hip, I am slick and all the women want my phone number!

Whoa, just a second. Let me clarify.
I'm not having "bad luck with the ladies" in general. Just the locals.
I do pretty well with girls that didn't grow up here, or have moved here in the last 2 or 3 years.
It's the women that were born and raised here that seem to have the issues.
Dumb bitches. I'm moving to Seattle. Or maybe NYC. Or maybe back to DC where people are cool.

"Do they swallow too? "
Probably not. They realize that there are more men than women here, and as a result, the local women think they do not have to try very hard to get and keep men.
"Ware are you meeting these dumb chicken-heads?"
Two at 1015. Don't remember the third.
"I thought it was San Francisco men that suck?"
Some do. Some don't.

Wrong. A lot of the guys here are gay and therefore aren't a part of the pool. I meet more women that have difficilty with guys. I know some women that are content with 'sharing' there man with other women.

maybe the scene is a little different up in the city. Superfly, can you 100% convince me of this? Otherwise, I'm moving to Seattle.

Seattle is cold, dark, and wet. No one should have to live here. But hey, if you decide to come up, let me take you to dinner!
Matty D, I think you would love SFO. You could visit the aquarium, get some great spotting in, and walk down the street in your drag without anyone giving you weird looks! Best of all, you could quit lying to yourself and finally come out! We'd all understand.

We're Nuts, I'm actually convinced now, after my fourth visit to the city, that all the bad things people say about Seattle are just to keep people from moving there.
It's a lovely town. In fact, it seems that everything they said is great about San Francisco is actually true in Seattle.
(Diversity, friendliness, stuff to do outdoors, club scene, and oh yeah, friendliness.)
