While everyone is listing all the songs they HATE, I thought it might be a good idea to give everyone an opportunity to tell some songs they really like, and why

Here's a couple of my "nominees"....................

Troglodite.............Jimmy Castor Bunch Same as below

Bertha Butt Boogie.........Jimmy Castor Bunch Hard to explain; listen to it and you'll know why I like it

Alley Opp.............Hollywood Argyles How can one guy record a tune six times, different instruments, and sound
like a whole group, (and make you laugh your ass off ?)

Take A Chance On Me........Abba Of all their great songs, this one is the BEST

Cherrio, Cherrio Baby...........UB 40 These guys ROCK !

Do The Funky Chicken...........Rufus Thomas Rufus is a Gas !

Volcano & Margaritaville...........Jimmy Buffett Jimmy's two best songs

Up Around The Bend & Heard It Through The Grapevine...........CCR ( I love all CCR stuff )

OB-LA-DI, OB-LA-DA................Beatles I really can't stand the Beatles, but for this tune I can make an exception !

It's Just A Matter Of Time..............Brook Benton How could anyone NOT love to hear B.B. sing ?

Forbidden Games.........By Narciso Yepes Bruno Batista D'Amario, Guitar If you love guitar, you'll LOVE this !

The list is too long for this thread, and it changes over time, but a few off the top of my head and from the recent past:

This will without doubt be played as a golden oldie 50, 70 years from now. Happy memories for me as it reminds me of the time I met my current squeeze, (which he now sings and plays on his guitar) and (no doubt because of the video) Cuba, even though it wasn't out at the time.

This is such a feelgood track it never fails to put a smile on my face and give me a lift.

Can't understand why this track wasn't a major international hit! Even Lou Reed liked it enough to record a version.

Loved this from the time I first heard it, which is unusual. It's just a terrific song.

Sends a few shivers up my spine, and again a future classic.

She has many detractors, which is only par for the course for someone so successful, and I had great hopes for her until she released her last album, but I never get tired of this, no matter how much it's played.

Another classic, and her best track IMHO.

The title of this track says it all . . . another tune to put me in good form! Soon as I hear the intro I get a lift . . .
