Quoting larshjort (Reply 2): Is anything happening on the track?
Apparently, not a lot has happened today. There was even a period of 30 minutes with no car on track, just because teams had to save wet and intermediate tyres for Saturday and Sunday. How nice for the spectators who paid their Friday ticket for almost nothing....
I think it is time to revise that rule.

The commentators said that Pirelli could get extra wet and intermidiate tires without problem if the teams agreed to that.
I agree the rules need to be revised, it need to be X amount of tires for qualification and race, and free tires for use in practise.

Anyway, rather interesting qualifying session, albeit interrupted by the red flag. I was rather disappointed that these days, sessions seem to stop because of a bit of rain. Martin mentioned during the Sky coverage that there used to be a "monsoon" tyre a few years back. If so, let's bring it back.
Anyway, qualifying results:

Incredible drive by Webber, fantastic overtaking move. Alonso still has a good few points on him in the championship though. Could be good if he moves to Ferrari next year.

Quoting MIAspotter (Reply 11): Maldonado... WTF? he needs to cool off a bit with the risky overtakes.
Yeah. I'm really annoyed that he has cost Williams some valuable points, twice in as many races. Personally, I don't think Williams should've ever signed Maldonado, but that's another story. I hope Williams will replace him with someone that can actually drive, e.g. Hulkenberg ...
Fantastic drive from Webber to bring home the victory, and I thought Vettel drove very well too.

Quoting sudden (Reply 13):
Yeah, but he is a rising star who will be driving for one of the top teams one day. And that stunt secured his future with Ferrari, naturally.
Clearly the pit crew got in his way. Duh! Didn't you see that front wheel guy jump out and shout surprise? And he's risen so far so fast that he's still with the same team! If only here were backed by dirty North Korean petrol money. He'd have had that Ferrari drive years ago.

I am really really sorry! What was I thinking, if at all.
I mean, a star like him could for sure not be making a mistake and come in too fast and simply screw up his breaking point.
Maybe he just wanted to show off and let the top teams know that he can do stuff.
