Very cool happenings in Boston over the weekend with USS Consitution sailing for the first time in 15 years and only the second time since 1881, to commemorate the 200th anniversary of her defeat of HMS Guerriere.

I think it is fantastic that the Navy has found a few extra dollars to keep this old girl in top shape though I certainly wish they'd let her sail on her own more often.

Anyone here get out to see her?

Saw this on the dinnertime news. Have to say that a tall ship, no matter what vintage, is always a beautiful sight.

I wonder what the upkeep on this puppy is ? And, where do hey find the expertise ? This is not a Laser.

Without a doubt this is a full-time job. I'd imagine they keep the expertise in-house.

Damn it... actually made it back to Boston for the first time in a long time this weekend but missed it, as I had no idea it was going on.

Read this very carefully, I shall write this only once!
