With some former stars from the original Dallas is coming back to our screens . Do you think it will be as much a hit as it was all those years ago ?

Dallas stars discuss the relaunch of the iconic US show

The iconic US soap opera Dallas originally ran from 1978 until 1991, picking up a huge global following along the way.

Now, 21 years after it left our screens, it is back - and many of the original cast including JR and Sue-Ellen are being joined by some younger characters for a new series.

Well, if Ireland's viewers are anything like America's viewers, who have had access to this Dallas re-boot for a whole season now...no.

Yes, it was a hit in the States. They are working on it's second season now.

I have always loved Sue Ellen. I have to admit, I preferred the vulnerable (albeit drunk) Sue Ellen of the 70s.

I still wonder if Pam Ewing will return in Season 2?
