I think we have a candidate for dumb ass of the month award! A man in his 20's or 30's jumps into the tiger exhibit at the Bronx zoo and gets attacked by a tiger.

They better not put the tiger down because of this idiot!

Some slime cock lawyer will get hold of this case and make it a money grab though the man was at fault for f*ing with Tony the Tiger. Or this guy will try to plead insanity and do some time at a NYC area "puzzle house" and maybe do the talk show circuit.

It depends. To qualify for the Darwin Award you have to either get killed or get injured in such a way that you are unable to participate in reproduction of mankind.

There is no information telling that the man actually got such injuries.

He qualifies. When he did the same thing a couple of months ago, then he did it around midnight when the zoo was closed. The staff discovered his remains (and a fat tiger) only next morning.

Mr Charles Darwin, FRS (Fellow of Royal Society, London), 1809 - 1882, published theories about evolution of species. The Darwin Award is given to individuals who have done the ultimate to improve the average common gene pool in order to improve evolution of mankind.

Somehow, I don't think this guy was a Republican...

Before his now-infamous tangle with a Bronx Zoo tiger, David Villalobos adorned his Facebook page with New Age odes to Mother Earth and affirmations like, "Be love and fearless."

Police said Saturday that Villalobos had told detectives that it was without fear that he leaped from an elevated train into the animal's den. His reason, they said, was that "he wanted to be one with the tiger."

Occupy the tiger's den!

Sounds like he followed his dreams and was "one with the tiger".

Sad but true. Considering this is New York, that very possible and he may even win in court.

Isn't that a sad suicide? The Swedish media stopped reporting about the case a while ago.

Poor tiger. She's also a recent mom too. I hope somebody sues this guy on the tiger's behalf for trespassing and mental distress, and uses the proceeds to get her a year's worth of top quality meat.

Then I assume New York is a 'stand your ground' state.    I'm glad the tiger won't pay the consecuences of this nutcase action.
