You really can't make this stuff up. And to see Alabama play cupcake Ole Miss? (known around here as TSUN: the school up north)

The pilot has to make an emergency landing but they don't quite make the airport, instead landing in a cotton field. THEY ABANDON THE PLANE, hitchhike to Montgomery, rent a car, and drive to Tuscaloosa for the game.

Quote:
The Dallas County Sheriff's Department said when authorities arrived on the scene to investigate the plane's discovery there were no people around. The Sheriff's Office said the plane did not appear to be damaged.

I have a friend who went to Alabama and then to Auburn. He finally had to move to Tennessee to get away from the fact that he was an enemy in all quarters!

Apparently it's not unheard-of for court dates to get moved due to football games in Alabama.

I've known of weddings and funerals to be planned around football games as well. Football may as well be a religion in Alabama..

My sister (quite seriously) recommends just not getting married in the fall. Period. She and her husband are both Mississippi State grads like myself.
