Apparently she left behind a suicide note blaming the lack of salary from KF for 6 months making it impossible for her family to make ends meet.

A real tragedy for the staff and family, and a slap in the face of Vijay Mallya. Sure his private wealth is separate from the airline, but he continues to flaunt his wealth shamelessly while his staff remain unpaid for months! His son is actually about to host a TV program called "The Search for the Next Kingfisher Calendar Girls" or some such thing. Crass, insensitive, and shameless. http://www.firstpost.com/bollywood/s...her-calendar-girl-show-464660.html

More on the suicide and aftermath... http://ibnlive.in.com/news/kingfishe...-march-in-mumbai/297910-3-237.html

VJM & MoCA should be concerned, that with 7 months no salaries and mounting loans/expenses , an employee does not loose it at the Airport.........

I just wonder: I my boss would stop paying me, I would stop working for him and go somewhere else (plus spreading the news that the old boss was a cheat, so that he won´t find replacements).
And, in thworst case (outstanding money), I´dd probably do what an Irish friend did some years ago in a dispute with his boss: He was working in a camera shop and took the three most expensive Nikon SLRs home for "safekeeping", telling the boss that he would return them once his salary was on his account.
I would think of something like the boroscope kit or the hotbonder, especially if I would live in a country where I couldn´t rely on the court system to enforce that I should get what I´m owed.

The man certainly likes to show off in Monaco, Abu Dhabi, Valencia and other F1 races with his Indian Empress and Force India mega-yachts hosting mega-parties that cost Millons, walking around with a mobile phone in each hand and a young Personal Assistant at his side.

I hope he will get arrested (international arrest warrant) and some of his outrageous assets will be taken away from him and auctioned off so his employees can be paid.

This is so shocking and awful but looking at the man, I am not the least surprised.

I can post pictures. I've got a number of them from different F1 races through the years.

 Wow!

Things must be different in India, if someone tried to pull a similar stunt here, especially with a high-profile business, they'd either be put out of business, or have so few employees left that they'd be unable to operate.

Wouldn't be very many people here who'd be able to survive with no income for 6 months, especially with big mortages, etc...

Essendon - Whatever it takes......

The sad part is VJM has the $$$ for other activities, but not to pay the staff.......

Most staff have not quit because the options are limited & they probably hoped they'd get paid soon considering the brand they work for.

But things look very tough now.

The man is such a show off with his fleet of mega-yachts and big money and he can't pay his employees?

I hope he will get caught and there will be no pity on him.

Though I wonder as he probably has all the contacts and lawyers in India and a big chunk of bakschich might turn the scales on his side... There is so much bribing and corruption that anything can happen...

I never liked V.J. Mallya...

And the drama from KF continues.....This is pathetic. If this was an American airline we'd probably see the airline shut down by the feds/creditors at this point.

You expect him to give his personal assets to cover the losses of a company.
I don't think he is running a sole proprietorship unless I am mistaken. only the lawyers would know how much liability he carries personally.

True. He could have his wealthy toys in the name of the company. They know how to trick the Law.

I am no legal expert but I am sure these people always find a way around so they don't have to lose personally if something like this happens.

I'd prefer that he lose it all. Make the man start back from zero.

 Wow!
