How can there be any genuine interest in a go kart race in Japan when there is motor racing on a hillside in central West NSW, folks this is Bathurst weekend and there is 1000 km of real automotive warfare on the Mountain

I'd rather watch F1 than Bathurst, to be perfectly honest. V8 Supercars don't appeal to me ... unless a Ford wins

Besides, I think Suzuka is the better track, anyway.

Good to see Vettel take pole. That was a magnificent lap from him - it's almost as if he's back to his old self after a form slump at the start and middle of the season.

Pity about Raikkonen spinning at the end of Q3 which caused a yellow flag, and hindered the hot laps of many drivers. But I don't think any of them would've beaten Vettel's time as Vettel himself was out on a hot lap at the time.

Two Red Bull(s) and a Sauber.. Kamui's 3rd place in his home race.

I hope Kamui will be watchful of Grosjean and no crash will happen. Grosjean will do him no favours.

F1 never knows... Let's hope for the better.

What a race! I'm absolutely delighted with the result. Now, Vettel has trimmed down his championship deficit to just 4 points, with 5 races to go. I hope he makes it 3 titles in a row

Really looking forward to V8 Supercars next season with Nissan and Mercedes joining the action.

I think they need to lengthen Bathurst from 1000 to 1500, it's now become a series of sprint races rather than an enduro.

Was driving back from Mt Panorama when race was on but Network 10 understanding that Bernie rudely schedules a GP during the Bathurst 1000 kindly replay the event later that night.. but after a long weekend of cars and beverages(had a couple too many when I got home) I saw the first lap... and the podium   Happily Network 10 are replaying it again on Monday night so I may get to see the race after all!

Taking that short dression(detour) back to Bathurst..

It would just be a longer series of sprint races between safety cars!!

I must have been watching a different race. Enjoyed the result, but it was a tad processional for most of the time. Had it not been for the first corner pileup it would barely have been worth watching.
