As a Japanofile, one would find it quite interesting that I don't like sushi that much. I actually have stomach problems with raw food.
Either way, I often go to sushi restaurants and eat some tonkatsu while there
My favorites, in no particular order:
Sushiden, Madison Av in NYC
Sushi-Ken in Chandler AZ
RA Sushi (only place I've actually eaten sushi)
Kabuki (west coast)
Sakura, Bridgetown, Ohio (nestled as part of some dive bar establishment right off of I-74)
I suggest them all, especially if u like stuff other than sushi

The best sushi place on earth is obviously [url=http://www.sushi-jiro.jp/]Sukiyabashi Jiro[/i]. I'm not a conoisseur, or expert, but have come to detest most sushi places - especially those using conveyor belts. We have overfished many areas of the seas to an extent that most indigenous species to the region have gone extinct. All you can eat sushi places aren't exactly a lesson in responsible treatment of the environment. That it's disgusting to boot goes without saying but I admit that's a subjective impression.

Gonna have to wait a bit to actually eat here - but if anything close to any of the previous incarnations of NEXT (menus changes every few months- from "Childhood" to "Sicily" to "Paris 1906" to "Thailand") this will become my favorite, that unfortunately i will only be able to go only once before it changes again. Tickets are close to impossible to buy now. Yes i said "tickets"
