I've been traveling the last week and a half, and have had to rely upon my smart phone for news about the election.
One thing I noticed occurred with the Fox News Mobi website. On Sunday, Nov 4, Fox News had dropped almost all their campaign stories about how great a President Romney would be. Why Romney should be elected.
The entire focus of the web site changed to "Why Obama Would Win" - stories blaming the 'mainstream media (Fox isn't a major media outlet?), stories about how early voting allows people to vote in larger numbers - especially voters for Obama, how changing demographics in some states would upset traditional voting problems.
I commented to my wife that for the first time I thought President Obama might be re-elected - solely based on Fox 'giving up' on Romney.
Did anyone else notice this shift - approx 48 hours before the election?

I don't particularly pandor to the fake news website. The reasonable outlets, fivethirtyeight blog, Real Clear Politics, and other polls in swing states had this figured out a while back. The GOP response was that the polls were flawed.
Older than I just was ,and younger than I will soo be.

Fox pundits like O'Reilly are very honest about that the network was set up as an alternate voice. The network groups their competition, whether print, radio or television, as liberal mouthpieces that they refer to as the "mainstream media".

Anyone who's been paying attention for the past four years should understand the 'Obama machine', and how it worked so successfully in turning out the vote on election day. You don't leave a rally without a phone number, e-mail address, etc. going into their database. They identify who might have trouble getting to the polls and arrange for them to vote early. They know where their votes are and turn 'em out. That the GOP hasn't come up with a similar operation has been to their detriment at the polls.

I'd argue they were one of the last. It was close, and even I thought there would be record GOP turnout (which was not the case) but I've thought the President would win for a while. I think that was the consensus for most news sources.
FOX/the GOP did make a big deal about how the polls were skewed... that combined with the thought that most of the nation did not like the President (which is also untrue as we can see) kinda created a false sense of security, but as the election neared, I think all hope for OH turning red had faded

I understand much of the Fox propaganda Network have been flooding suicide hotlines this past week. So, if you run into a shortage of rope don't say I didn't tell you so.
