I usually don't watch sports and in the weekend their is not a lot of shows to watch besides sports on TV. Some of the things I do is surf the web, do some shopping for essentials, maybe see Top Gear on BBCA or some of the space shows on the Science Channel if it is on, what do you do?

I do so much stuff on the weekends that I can't remember them all; and they vary a lot; just today, I stopped at the little country store in my "village" to chit-chat with the fellow who owns the store, ( and who is my good friend and neighbor ), and to take a look at his new SAFE. Miss Arlie was at the store this morning schmoozing with her ladies group, and had told me about the "new (old) safe. For the fourth time in as many months, some "perp" broke out one of the front windows and made off with all of the cigarettes. The new safe (which is really kinda old) is about 4ft X 4ft X 4ft, and must WEIGH a LOT ! ( the wheels made 1/16" deep "tracks" in the wooden floor boards ! It'd take a gallon or so of TNT to get that sucker open ! Dan and I were discussing ways to keep this from happening again, and he said he was going to have to have bars put on all of the big front windows and then on the front door; then, as an after-thought, he says.........hey, you're always making things out of metal.........so I said........"I'll start fabricating the unit for the broken window on Monday, and if it "looks right", I'll start making the rest of them later in the week". I forgot to mention, my friend, Dan, was just elected to the County Commission, and I wanted to congratulate him on his victory. ( He's a Republican, BTW )
Actually, I pretty much do the same things on the week ends as I do in the week "middles"..........everything. ( I usually don't even know when it IS the week end. )
A couple of weeks ago, another very good friend wanted me to "do something" (that he knows I'm VERY good at ), and as it makes him a few bucks, he INSISTED on "compensating" me............( a gallon zip-loc freezer bag full of "Abe Lincolns"........400 of them in all, after I got them all "looking the same way" and the corners all flattened out. ) ( and please don't worry, there's NO DOPE involved in this deal )
As soon as spring gets here and the weather warms up a bit, I'll set my saw mill up and saw up a few logs. (Gotta have a bunch of 4 x 6's for a couple of out-buildings I'll be building about April ); after that, I'll be turning a bunch of my oak lumber into crown molding. ( always a big demand for molding in the spring ) Then in May, Miss Arlie and I are gonna go to Vegas for a week....... for some reason, for guys like me, weekends are just like every other day........fun !

Ah! An aspiring musician. Do you play tenor or alto?
Seriously, it's more of a question of what *DON'T* I do. Often, work gets in the way of the true weekend, but when I do have days off in a row, there's all kinds of household stuff to catch up on, plus working on my cars (getting my better racer RX-7 ready for a season of rally-X/ice racing this weekend, for example), to keeping up appearances with friends, family and the girlfriend.
Also, some me time; catch up on my reading, play some video games, go to the gym/outdoor activities, maybe smoke a cigar if I'm feeling particularly rich. The list goes on and on really.

With the exception of Raven's football and some Orioles baseball and of course the Olympics I don't get into a lot of sports. Especially the endless never ending Basketball. I could give a rat's ass about the NBA and their naredowell players and greedy owners. And I find college basketball especially the March Madness BS a crock of sh*t. There might not be that much on TV during weekends but, there's the Internet with all it's choices including A-Net. If not online, I'm exercising, running errands and participating in one of my favorite pastimes, female companionship!

During the day I am usually out taking care of any errands. If not that the more likely thing is me reading for school especially on Sundays. If I am not in school then my weekends are a bit more open and I will try to get in plenty of things such as going out on the boat, going to the beach, going somewhere whether is be another city or just the zoo. But really most days I have reading to do.
At night I will be with my girlfriend and/or friends going out. Trying new resturants, going to the same ones, movies, bars, clubs etc.. Typical things I think.

Oh you're a baseball player. Who do you play for, Red or White?
I don't watch sports at all, and I'm usually working on Saturdays, sometimes working 06:30 to 22:30. When I'm not I'm on the computer or with friends. I'm also in school for firefighting so I spend time studying and training.

I don't even know how it's played. But playing sports or doing sport (I like mountain biking in the forest) is also a good week-end activity.

I know how it's played since it's similar to the recorder I'm familiar with and I play all sizes of those, most commonly soprano and alto, but my favorite are the bass and contrabass.

Well, practising rather than watching sports is a good start.
If you're not the active type, in the age of internet you're no longer limited to the TV schedule, watch whatever film, series or program you fancy.
Take up some hobby, computer games, train/military/fantasy models, painting, writing, work on whatever your home needs fixing... really 5-day weekends would still be too short for what I'd love to do.

I usually have work here and there to finish up. After that I run all my errands and if there is any time left I go out day-drinking with friends, go to the movies, BBQ or play video games. All depends on the weather, I usually don't do much outdoors if it is cold.

I wake up in the early hours of Saturday (4am lol!) and catch the 5:13am train to London and off to Heathrow for a nice days photographing planes and come back about 7pm, later in Summer. Sundays i go to Church or visit the park and do some animal photography if the weather is nice.
Weekends dont last long, i dont like to work at weekends because you already work 5 days a week why work a further two?
