For those of you who may get a kick out of this story:

As many 30 Elvis Presley snow globes are confiscated in Memphis International Airport Security lines every month. But tourists take heart: Those snow globes are safe now, thanks to a more common sense approach to passenger screening.

Glad I can now bring my snow globes with me for flight tracking purposes...

Confiscating Elvis! Doesn't help the TSA's popularity ratings.

Something tells me not much they do helps their popularity. Good to see the TSA gain some common sense. Now if only they could figure out the laptop scans...

I didn't see it firsthand but I will occasionally read that entire thread every once in a while... that man is a legend! LOL

I just wonder if Flairport is still lurking around this site at all! LOL! Great memories! By the way, did he ever meet that girl that he was raving about?

As for the thread, it seems like the TSA folks in MEM don't want to upset the Elvis followers.....they finally figured this out now?! LOL!

I do!

I realize that the TSA gets hammered on everything they do, which is normally deserved IMO, but I hope the MEM folks get their credit on this one. I'm surprised its only 30 per month. Would have thought it was far higher.

Give me a break, I created this username when I was a kid...

Always a joy to read.   Replies 17 and 19 are the best. He seems to get it and then it develops into a total car crash.

I sure do & i've read that way before i actually joined A.net. The mere reference to it every now & then still cracks me up.

Back on topic .. i guess TSA in MEM were sick & tired of all those snow globes stacking up

I believe in coincidences. Coincidences happen every day. But I don't trust coincidences.
