Not sure if this should go to non-av or aviation. Certainly has to do with MIA. Earlier today a coach bus crashed in the arrivals area at MIA. If you even been to MIA you know how hot and humid the low ceiling arrival area can get filled with cars, taxis and smaller buses. However large buses such as coach buses and tour buses have there own area on the outer lanes which have no ceilings. It seems like this bus driver must have never been to MIA before. The bus crashed right into the ceiling which on the top of it has departure area. Traffic was backed up for hours in the airport. 2 passengers have died and many were seriously injured.

It seems as though the bus was not suppose to be in MIA to begin with and made a detour. It is clearly marked that all cars over 8ft 6 inches need to go into another lane. Can't believe someone could make this mistake.

Quote:
The bus that crashed into an overpass at Miami International Airport Saturday morning, killing two elderly male passengers, was filled with Jehovah Witnesses en route to a conference in West Palm Beach. Investigators said its detour through the airport was a mistake.

For some reason Anet is not allowing me to post the link of the article. Here it is:

http://www.cnn.com/2012/12/01/us/mia...ort-bus-crash/index.html?hpt=hp_t3

There is a much better article at miamiherald.com but Anet or the Herald wont allow me the post the link to that site.

Wow. Two deaths? How fast was this bus travelling through the airport grounds?
