Hey guys! I know all airplane buffs are music buffs too, right?

What CDs/Albums/what have you are you looking forward to come out next year?

Personally, I'm waiting for Finntroll's new record, which they said they finished today in the studio. Should be out in January or February.

Also, TOOL is rumored to have an album coming out sometime next year. They're long overdue for some new stuff.

Apparently Porcupine Tree is going to drop something in the fall of next year, no confirmation yet. Same with Opeth, but with Opeth that's just a rumor. I doubt they'll drop a new album so quickly.

So what about you guys?

Tool is always overdue by the time they release a new album. That's just the way they do it, unfortunately. But can't say I've ever been disappointed by their albums.

Personally, I actually don't pay that much attention to when new albums are coming out, with select few exceptions (Rush, Metallica, Aerosmith, maybe a couple others). Metallica is rumored to be working (or thinking about working) on a new album, so I'll be waiting for that. Rush and Aerosmith released new albums this year, so not expecting anything there for awhile.....if ever again.

I've been waiting for music to improve for over 20 years now so I pretty much given up on any new releases by my favorite bands. Once in a blue moon some new artist that is actually good will flash, then fizzle.

Well in the EDM sphere, artists are constantly making music, so I can pretty much assume that all my favourite producers/DJs will release an EP or at least a few singles in 2013. Just today, Cazzette released Part II of their three-part album, with Part III being released on January 11th.

The only exception is Daft Punk. They "retired" some years ago and there have been rumours flying around for almost two years now that they were supposed to release a comeback album in 2012. Of course that didn't happen, so I'm very hopeful that something will happen in 2013. Needless to say, I will spend stupid amounts of money to see them if they decide to go on a comeback tour in the near future.

Flying refined.

As every first day of every year I am very much looking forward to the live transmission of the Vienna Philharmonic New Year's Concert 2013.

There is never a better way for me to start the new year than this always most wonderful performance.

I'm looking forward to HIM's and U2's new albums. Hopefully some more We Came as Romans stuff too. Quite an assortment of music but I just can't get enough U2 and We Came as Romans.

I saw that show in LA. I'm not a fan of Roger Waters as a person, but that show was absolutely amazing.

OneRepublic, my absolute favourite band, releases their latest CD in January. Have never been more excited for an album release!

Other than that I'm not sure.
