Things You Want To Go Away In 2013

Happy New Year! to all of us. Can't believe it's that time of year again. Time for my annual thread on people, places, things, issues or whatever else you want to go away in 2013. Of course my disclaimer: I don't want any of these people to suffer anything bad. And of course, I want crimes against animals, humanity, disease, pain and suffering to go away in 2013 and beyond. So without further ado I open up this thread.

First, though they literally define 2012 and can get on one's nerves; I'll give Honey Boo Boo and Psi another year in the limelight. Honey Boo Boo demonstrates what a diet of Mac and Cheese and Nutella can do. And with Psi at least his videos features lithe scantily clad hot Asian chick dancers. Give them each another year for their fame.

Now for what I want to go away in 2013 in no particular order...

Justin Bieber: His voice may have changed but he still sucks talent wise and come across as a jackass
Nikki Minaj: Her music sucks and she looks like she stuck her finger in a live electrical outlet.
Ke$ha: Are we that masochistic that we put up with her?
The Kartrashians: Their butts grow with their ego as their talent and worth go south!
Taylor Swift: She's leggy and hot in an anorexic sort of way but I can't stand her music.
The Presidents of Iran, Syria and Egypt
The Fiscal Cliff
Michael Vic
A-Rod
Oprah Winfrey
Tom Cruise
Church of Scientology
All the mass shootings: Caused way too many deaths and suffering and our media promotes these wing-nuts who go out and commit these massacres.
Westbrook Baptist Church: Like Scientology, for those who sincerely believe in them fine but their notoriety promotes them.
Ryan Seacrest: Let's Hope OUT for good!
Beyonce
A-Rod
Obscene Black Friday sales that start earlier than black Friday
Animal abusers
Wacky extreme weather
95% of Reality TV shows and for that matter crappy shows like Partners and Made In Jersey
and She's British, not that there's anything wrong with that but there are plenty of actresses stateside that can affect a Jersey accent. But the only thing positive about this turkey which flamed out after three episodes was the fact she has great legs but the show was a joke!

More to come! Time to hear your ideas

My wish list:

*Children/infants in First Class
*Children/infants in Business Class
*Passengers that call instead of text "I've just landed. blah blah blah."
*Mobile phones in airline lounges
*Mobile phones in restaurants
*Bad salad dressing on airplanes
*Liquid restriction for cabin baggage
*Bad catering
*Kim Dynasty in North Korea
*Low-cost carriers
*Canned tuna sold on buy-on-board snack boxes
*Menus that insult you with "teriyaki BEEF or hibachi CHICKEN" on a Narita - Los Angeles flight. Why bother with menus at this type of flight?
*Passengers that do not take care with personal hygiene
*Passengers that bring fried food onboard airplanes and then consume these greasy, salty items, touch the seat armrest, etc, and don't wash their hands! EEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!
*Poorly-dressed, poorly-groomed business travelers. (It's like seeing an incubus of the viral plague in the form of a human being)
*Snakes

The 'Tea Party' movement
Money controlling our elections in the USA
The 'creep' of major holidays months before they occur.
To jail the leaders of financial services who brought us the financial crises
Most 'reality' shows.
Any more mass/multiple killings
The onerous TSA checks and silly rules
Our involvement in Afghanistan
The nuke and missile building of Iran and North Korea
Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez to the 'afterlife'
Israel in the West Bank and Gaza
The heads of the Federal Reserve and Treasury, replaced with people who really care about people over the banks
Rush Limbaugh and other right wing media bullies from the airwaves
Some radical left wingers who won't compromise
Fracking and other environmental destructive behaviors
The fights against 'gay' marriage, abortion, birth control
Our obsessions with powerful guns and other weapons
The ever growing 'ala carte' pricing of services and products like air flights

Justin Bieber
Politicians that refuse to compromise
Being single (I've been single my entire life, I think I've enjoyed it enough)
Most SUVs
NIMBYs (they seem really keen on ruining Minnesota's public transport projects)

Let's see...here's a wish list in no particular order:

-Fiscal Cliff
-Tea Party and/or extremists
-Netanyahu's coalition (replaced by a more moderate one)
-Bashar Al-Assad
-The Iranian Regime
-The Egyptian Regime
-Al Qaeda and the Taliban
-Robert Mugabe
-Hamas
-Kim Dynasty in North Korea (replaced by a truly democratic government)
-The Middle East conflict
-High oil and food prices (seems every day everything's getting more expensive)
-Weakness in US economy
-High unemployment
-Crappy autotuned music (Ke$ha, Nikki Minaj, Pitbull, etc.)
-Reggaeton (ugh...just...ugh)
-Reality shows (Toddlers and Tiaras, Jersey Shore (thank goodness it's been cancelled), Teen Mom, etc.) That's not to say that ALL shows should end. I enjoy Shipping Wars, Storage Wars on A&E, and Airport 24/7: Miami on the Travel Channel.
-Intrusion of people into the lives of others (like those who advocate smaller government because government shouldn't control people's lives but want to pass bans on abortions and same sex marriage)
-INSTAGRAM!!...man that's annoying.
-Extreme temperatures (that's not to say extreme weather...I LOVE that)
-Corruption in our local government (they claim there's no money, but amazingly find millions stashed to refurbish their offices with 3 restrooms and spend on lavish dinners)
-Incurable diseases, poverty, and famine.

All for a more happy world.

I predict Bieber will come out in the next few years. Sad for the LGTB folk. Bieber is an obnoxious no talent snot. I feel sorry for his mother. She's a MILF and actually seems cool. I hope at least she can be financially set and comfortable from her son's lack of talent that Sheeple endorse.

Regarding Minaj. what's one man's meat is another's.... Maybe it's my age. (56 years young). I was blessed to grow up with the musical greats of the 1960's and yes even some of the 1970's artists. They have, are and always will fly rings around the crap that's today's talent. Lady Gaga went through a lot of sh*t and though I dislike her music I like her as a person. Minaj demonstrates how one of my favorite genre's of music R&B has eroded to less than zero!

Other things I hope go ba bye in 2013:

  • Fast and furious
  • The Twilight Craze
  • Entertainment media's endorsement of unmarried pregnancies
  • Over Hype of March Madness
  • Over Hype of all the vapid awards shows
  • The Taliban, Ha mas, Hezbollah
  • End of the World Fear Factor
  • Inattention of protecting and strengthening our power grid
  • The Jackson Family
  • Elevation of Whitney Houston to sainthood. I'm sorry for her families tragic loss nobody should have to suffer this but
at least in my opinion her music and talent were at best mediocre at worst annoying and the beginning of the decline
of R & B. You want high quality R & B, look to Aretha Franklin and her underrated, under appreciated aunt Dionne
    Warwick.
  • The dominance of New York and Boston area teams in the NFL and MLB for at least 2013.
  • I Phone this, I Phone that. For that matter Apple always in the news. Enough already!
  • The overpopulation of phone and I Pod commercials on TV, especially during NFL games.
  • Rap/Hip Hop
  • The cow who does that weird neck tilt on Dance Moms. She looks like the last person on this Earth involved in dance.
She dances from the couch to the fridge for an abundant luau of food! The show though is a hoot for reality shows.
  • Kirsti Alley competing on any reality show involving dance or fitness.
  • The Biggest Loser
  • America's Funniest Videos: Never seems to want to ride off into the sunset
  • Big asses ugly SUV's
  • The ugly design of the Toyota Prius all models.
  • Jessica Simpson (unless she can stop getting knocked up and can get back into Daisy Duke hotness) Sadly she lacks talent otherwise.

The 'creep' of major holidays months before they occur.

Agree with this! I'd enjoy Christmas alot more if it didn't begin in early November...

My list of things that come to mind;

-Food that's given an upmarket name to justify the price when in fact they're just trying to save money. I.e. "Open sandwich". It's not a sandwich then is it, just put one more piece of damn bread on top and stop being so pretentious.
-Commercials/adverts on TV for trivial items that make it sound like their product/service is life changing and the root of happiness in everyones lives.
-Religion
-Early mornings
-Inflation
-Glorification of people who have absolutely nothing to be glorified for
-People that take photos/videos with iPads
-The majority of music that's played on the radio
-Nationalities that think the world revolves around them
-People that take nights out in their local grotty club so seriously
-Paco Rabanne 1 million for men
-Gullible people (though sometime's it can be entertaining)
-Jobsworths
-Sense of humour failures
-People that feel the need to share how crap their life is all over facebook

It's been an early morning and I'm grouchy as a result

7) Beiber, Minaj, Rihanna, Taylor, Bobby Brown, Tebow, Kartrashians (celebrities in general).
8) The words viral, baby bump and organic should never be used in any form again.
9) People that insist on spreading pictures of their pregnant wives belly all over the place.
10) Pictures of babies right out of the womb. You might think since it's yours that everyone wants to see it, WRONG!!!
11) Charitable organizations who have more than 3% of their donations go to something other than the people the money was intended for.
12) Reality TV. 100% of it.
13) People who insist on doing the speed limit in the fast lane.
14) Infomercials. People actually fall for this crap.
15) People that fall for infomercials. If they weren't around, maybe the infomercials would go away.
16) News organizations who think they are the greatest things since sliced bread. (Local and National. International too probably but I don't care about them).
17) Cancer,
18) Alzheimers and any other mental disease.

The Network Morning gabfests that have the set on groundlevel with the stupid people looking in the window acting well stupid.
I don't want them to go away but for heaven's sake Cathy Lee and Hoda come out of the closet and proclaim your torrid middlle aged MILF Lesbian love affair and for that matter get married to each other on your vapid gabfest and see the reactions of those stupid people gawking and looking in the window to their set!
President's Day BS overkill commercials for cars. At least the infomercials are cheesey to the point of comedy and sometimes feature hot chicks. But President's Day advertising for mattresses and cars has got to go!

Terms such as:
Booya, Baby Bump, Think Outside the Box have got to go.
The Office
Parks and Recreation
30 Rock
48 Hours should get back to it's roots and abandon the sensational grime and crime and actually do 48 hours somewhere.
60 Minutes lay off all those Mideast stories, they all run together.
Barbara Streisand
Ryan Seacrest
Conan O'Brien you are not funny
Hipsters
The Pink slime that make up Mc. Nuggets, and I believe Nutella
Genetically Modified foods
Monsanto and Haliburton
Mc. Donald's "I'm Lovin It" ad campaign hated it from day 1 and it has way overstayed it's welcome.

The year is not even a day old and I may be getting my wish! I don't go clubbing as often as I used to, but I always make a point of heading out on New Year's Eve, and this year I got a nice surprise. Sometimes change happens slowly, and other times it creeps up without you noticing until WHAM! . . . . it hits you in the face.

What am I talking about? Nothing particularly important, in the grand scale of things, possibly (and hopefully) one of those periodic fashion changes that make life that little more pleasant. I went to one bar and one club, and for the first time in what must be a decade, didn't see ONE SINGLE guy wearing what must be the most awful jeans/trouser craze since the 1970s . . .

New Year 2013 and not a single pair of skinny or low-slung jeans in sight . . . WOOHOO!

Chief........the first time I read that, I had no earthly idea what that meant; later in the day, I saw a photo some place of this ridiculous, "nerdy" looking guy, (who I would have guessed to be N.Korean), and who's "name" was some equally ridiculous sounding, 3 letter "acronym"? I deduced from the head-line that he was supposedly some sort of an "entertainer", (and being very glad that I didn't have to suffer actually looking at the people who think he's "entertaining"!) I guess never going to movies, never watching MTV, and very seldom reading newspapers or other "alleged" news sources, has it's rewards.........(being blissfully un-aware of the existence of piss-ants like this.)

Interesting! There are some current trends here. Almost all of us have listed besides the obvious death, disease and destruction: Justin Bieber, Niki Minaj and most of the other pop crap.
Some other things I forgot:
  • My never ending ADHD
  • My hypersomnia
  • My hippo girth
  • My frequent colds and sinus infections (working at the airport is ground zero for germs)
  • One Direction- These boy bands got to go.
  • Today's so called music (I missed the ball dropping into Time's Square because the sh*t acts were so bad I couldn't stand it any longer. I ended up watching Abbey Lee the Dance Mom plus sized queen's top OMG moments and got a kick out of it.) I can't believe how far we've devolved when it comes to our current music. They all sound like they came off the same assembly line that processes the pink slime that makes Mc. Nuggets, Nutella and Velveeta! As long as you have that twink look (boy bands) and for the women as long as you have a decent pair of legs and like to have wardrobe malfunctions then you too can be a musical star in today's Poop Culture! Technology can alter and change the vocal quality but it's still Godawful. And the music sounds like fluff that could have come out of the old snakepit mental hospitals! And R&B? Has hit the skids as bad. What was once a promising genre with some classic artists and music is not gibberish rap crap or overproduced synth music like much of the late Whitney Houston's. She had a beautiful voice but the stuff she sang is almost as horrid as the Velveeta crap of today's pop tarts. The Bodyguard,
Endless Love and The Greatest Love or whatever the title was the beginning of the irreversible slide into mundane crap.
However to end on an up note there is that 5% of music that still demonstrates there's quality and heart out there. Adelle and Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings are the oasis in this vast wasteland of corporate rock pop.

Regarding Amy Poehler, she's a hottie but I still can't stand the show. NBC has a thing about re-doing British humor shows in the states and I for one do not find them funny. No offense to my friends across the pond!

Some mentions in this thread I totally agree with, they need to go away:

Bieber (and I'm Canadian). Please !
Grover Norquist (let him run for elected office, then he can talk)
Bibi
Bettman and Fehr, consigned to one of the nether regions

I'd also add:

"The crawl" across the bottom of your TV screen. Totally annoying.
The twitterverse. Never used it, never will.
Shamwow
And other direct marketed TV products/services. Esp. the ones offering cash for gold. What a swindle.
Most commercial radio pop music. Especially hip-hop. My house is a hip-hop free zone.
Wolfgang Blitzkrieg

Others will come to me I'm sure, and other contributors will identify several them.

Funny that you keep complaining about this, but you never go back and reread the responses to your posts that show how unreliable they are. your recent posts are always blogs that have links to the real data and you never even go read them to see how unreliable your source article is.

So there is what I want to get rid of. People that don't fact check their own sources when they are quoting other source material.

It's precisely one year since my last crisis, and it's a very important milestone for me. Am feeling optimistic, which is already a vast improvement on the beginning of last year. I wouuld also put a shout out for the end of being single, but then although it may seem selfish, this year for the time being has to be about looking after me first and foremost. The rest can follow later.

No this isn't selfish. You cannot take care of others properly if yourself are not in good standing with your own life and the world so there is nothing wrong with thinking about you in first place.

There are some great motivational speakers videos on Youtube. This man Les Brown is really great. He will lift up your spirit and your mind too. These are just two of his videos - there are many more. I like Jim Rohn too.

Will certainly take a peek. It's difficult when you feel a settled relationship is the one thing missing in your life, but I guess it's about priorities. What is also upsetting is that finding a longterm partner and having a family was the main goal in life for me, and the last few years have put a huge dent in that, to the extent that I feel so hurt by events that I'm not sure I even want that anymore. It'll probably just take time. First step back on that road is continuing to get myself sorted, so that's the plan for now. And you're right - there are certainly a lot of good people out there, I owe my life to many of them. The problem is, it sometimes only takes one or two bad experiences to lose total sight of that.

Until I asked a friend I always thought Gangnam Style was Condom Style thats what it sounds like.

Another thing that needs to go away this year: Major Cruise Ship Company discrimination against single lone passengers.
Way back there was a thread on solo travel and I'm one who likes the freedom, flexibility and control of doing it solo being the manifester of my own destiny when travelling.

If I want to take a quickie cruise on one of the big 2 Cruise Lines Carnival or Royal Carribbean, and want to cruise solo, I have to pay for the price of two (double occupancy). I understand profit and economics but wouldn't it be fair if the Cruise Lines are going to hose the single client then they should charge for kids and infants? Unless you are living large and going for one of the pimped out suite balcony staterooms, the standard cabins are small as it is even smaller than a single dormatory room. And, a single traveller on a cruise usually is more likely to pony up for extra cost things such as massages and other feel good spa treatments. This policy/practice is so 1973! It's 2013.

  • Political Correctness
  • Over the top retarded reactive policies; i.e. an 8 year old boy get suspended for giving his female friend classmate a hug!, A kid got suspended in school because he was playing a game with other kiddies cops and robbers and the kid pointed his finger at another kid and said bang, your'e dead! Give me a break
  • Kids going ghetto and taunting an MTA bus driver, the bus driver fights back (gives the potty mouth snipe an ass whupping and she gets terminated by the MTA and the scumbag girl gets a lawyer and hoses us the taxpayer for damages.
  • Text books, company education courses that use lawyer and egghead speak; meaning what could be said in five minutes or eleven pages of common sense English turns into a two hour lecture of $50 words and that easy to read and understand tome turns into a 111 sleepy time snoozer with fancy words and boring minutia.
  • Difficult to understand instructions for electronic and appliances. I go for the quickie setup page with the basics.
  • Speed cameras and red light cameras that are programmed to hose the motorist. Come to my state Maryland we wrote the book on this.
  • poor treatment of jurors and lack of safety in regard to jury duty. Come to Baltimore City and you'll learn
  • Parachute/Harem pants on hot women
  • Mom Jeans
  • Unmarried pregnancy being lauded and saluted especially amongst athletes and vapid celebrities.
  • Invasive colonoscopies. Viurtual investigation of the poop shoot is now effective but big money lawyers and big money crooked insurance still make us suffer the indignity of swilling salty swill, having a day of hypersonic pooping Nutella then having to get a probe up the poop shoot for a look see.

  • Goldman Sachs

  • That rich Buffet guy and for that matter Jimmy Buffet, never liked his music
  • All the Scion models except the sporty little coop that is shared with Subaru
  • Obnoxious Soccer/Football Hooligans. For my money put them in a cow dung stable with the Hipsters and let them go at it with each other.
  • Low flow toilets
  • Smart meters a way for Big Brother and the Electric Company to control how you live just plain creepy
  • STories about the Shroud of Turin and Bigfoot and Sasquatch so 1970's issues/boring
  • Subjecting kids to Shakespeare. Kids need to learn how to respect each other, live happy healthy lives translated real skills for this challenging world.
  • Big SUV's and their drivers. Many of them drive like they have Downs Syndrome and can't handle their big fugly monsters
on wheels. They elect to squander our limited resources while we all have to put up with low flow toilets.
  • Radical Feminism
  • Religious Fundamentalists
  • Church of Scientology
  • Al Queda
  • Hezbola
  • Muslem Brotherhood
  • Al Gore-Gezeera Network
  • Turning everything into a smarmy Broadway musical
  • Mom Jeans
  • Harem/parachute pants they even make hot women look cold
  • Unmarried celebrities and athletes promoting unwed pregnancy and parenthood
  • Lawyer commercials on TV and radio
  • Poor conditions for jurists just come to Baltimore City where jurors are treated as third class citizens by the state workers and have to deal with lawyer/court time which means wasting time Also jurors are put in danger as their is little if any seperation from the criminal element.
  • Speed and red light cameras that are rigged. Come to Maryland and you'll find out
  • Schoolbusses allowed on Interstate highways. Busses are underpowered and usually driven by fat ugly old women with turkey necks and arm flab that jiggles out the window as they drive 40 mph in the left lane causing traffic jams along with those retarded people driving their oversized SUV's.
  • All of Scion with the exception of the cool little sport soupe that is also made by Subaru
  • John McCain-the old coot is in bed with big pharma and if they get their way say ba bye to reasonable access and priced alternative medicine, suppliments and the natural food industry. We will be enslaved by Western medicine and subjected to torturous blood tests, chemo therapy and other horrific dark ages proceedures masquerading as cutting edge medicine.
  • Forced vaccinations as condition of employment
  • Government workers getting paid days off for things like the death of a former President. The rest of us have to work and pay your wages through barbaric taxation.

Yup, it is about priorities. You could probably go out and find some floozy to hook up with tomorrow, but until your house is all the way in order, it's probably worth fuck-all. I know my views on relationships are unconventional, but I have to say they sure do work for me.

Basically, just get it in your head that being single is awesome. Because really, it freakin' is anyway. Take the time to go to the places and do the things you've always wanted to. Slay your demons and broaden your horizons; do whatever you have to stretch that milestone of yours. A year of stability is great thing and a sure sign that you may be further out of those woods than you realize. So keep up the good work, and when you're ready, she'll be waiting anyway. How about the warlords in Afghanistan or the Saudi Royals we support, who are every bit as extreme & have the added benefit of acting on their habits?

Them too + the ones that fund their activities/operations. And the banks + financial intermediaries + offshore financial centres who assist the money-transfer.

Quoting Superfly (Reply 76):
Isn't one taking care of the other? I find malnutrition a crime against humanity as well but throughout our existence, human population has been controlled via starvation, wars over territory, religion, power, money, natural resources as well as stupidity. Not saying any of this is a good thing. However I'm not calling for population control either.

Yes, certainly a very strong link between the two. I always find it surprising how many people don't make the link though. I remember a thread on these forums a few years back where a fair few members were arguing that the world was/is underpopulated (or something to that effect). Unfortunately, the planet's resources can only support a finite number of people.

As a supplement to my original contribution (Post 35), hopefully no duplications:

Politicians:
Steven Harper
Vic Toews (our version of Donald Trump, except he actually got elected)
Peter Mackay
Bev Oda ... oh, she's already gone !
John Baird ... although it is kind of interesting to see him with the PM's wife on his arm
David Cameron
Vlad the Impaler ... not gonna happen though
any kleptocracy

Entertainers:
Celine Dion
Li-Lo ... just tired of all the shenanigans
Any Kardashian
Jenny McCarthy
Hulk Hogan ... tired of the head bobbing
Mel Gibson

Athletes:
Lance
Lance
Lance
Any athlete making > $1M complaining about anything
Dopers (see above)

I'm sure I can come up with another contribution.

Wow, that is strange. Personally I don't support any sort of tampering with the human population numbers. It's been tried before and the results were disastrous. We don't need another Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot, Hitler or Tojo.

I think many Canadians are tiring of his act and would be glad to trade him for some chewing gum and baling wire, which is what we're going to need to hold this country together when he gets the boot. Deeply suspicious, and driven by one emotion: hatred. Hatred of the Liberal Party in particular. Also an uber control freak, keeps the cabinet in dog collars.

I'd mount Celine Dion in a New York minute her hubby must be approaching Larry King's age (the golden 80's!) And Celine has CFM feet and likes to show them when she's not on stage just chillin.

Li Lo: An accident waiting to happen but ther's something about her freckles and her drapes (cookie) show nice color tone. She just needs some good lovin. Some doggie style will right her sail.
Kartrashians: I say send them on a one way trip to Mars.
Jenny McCarthy: Catholic schoolgirl but the hard bodied workout fanatical slut is coming out. She sweats and ages nicely. I bet she'd rock one's world in the boudior.
Hulk Hogan: WGAF give me Jesse Ventura and his black helicopter conspiracies.
Mel Gibson: If I though Aussies were like him (pompous, drunk racist/Anti-Semetic I'd vote for a killer Kangaroo to consume down under. But, Gibson is Down Under's Woodie Allen and Bernie Madeoff. (they are the scourges/embarrassments to my race/religion)

OK Lance triumphed over the big C but he is a wah wah wah weenie pandering to Moo Cow Winfrey.

Oprah moo cow was actually born in some wo-begone area of Mississippi. But with her officiousness and pandering to the weenie celebs she's become Crunchy Granola though it looks like her idea of gazing is unlimited.

All of a sudden that harpee Nikki Minaj is appearing on all the gabfests. Last night she was on lantern chin Jay Leno show, and today she was on "Elliott" oops I meant Ellen. And De Generus is the skinny boy counterpart to Oprah Winfrey Moo Cow. I like Ellen but why does she have to dress like a boy, the type those molester priests have wet dreams about?
She's actually be attractive if she'd start looking and dressing like the tall thin attractive woman she is. Those stupid Ked sneakers and butch hair are out.

The Third World and Ghetto boy status symbol-Impregnating different women to have unwanted babies which contribute to overpopulation, disease, misery and malnutrition.

While I'm definitely concerned about our world's population trend, I agree that the efforts to control this have been a nightmare. I think responsible birth control (and more selective fucking in general) are the way to handle this, which is why it really irks me to see efforts to eliminate sex ed getting so much traction here...

Probably gonna get flamed for this one, but... Yes, there's certainly something sexworthy about that woman. I would absolutely hit it. Strictly based on looks though; I really don't know enough else about her to substantiate this...

Here, here! I like a good action flick, but sooooooooo much of what's out there now is just so overdone. The Expendables, for example, was comically lame this way. I mean, seriously, are sqibs that hard to do right; we have to use CGI blood now? Maybe that wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't painfully obvious...

But there are still good ones here and there. I enjoyed Inside Man quite a bit...

I don't even go to the movies anymore because of this. It's too loud and I hate gratuitous use of special effects. I've come to really appreciate low-budget B-movies of the past as a result.
