Brother vs Brother.
Glad the Ravens one, completely dominated the Pats. Incidentally the first time Brady has lost a home game while winning at the half. I'm getting over the whole Ray Lewis saga, at least now it'll be 'this will be his last game' rather than 'this may be his last game'.
I'm looking forward to this one though; two rough and tumble mid tier (last 5 years) teams. I intend to be drunk at my own superbowl party by 9am.

The Pats are out. The NFL has been cleansed. That's really all that matters tonight.
I wanted Tony Gonzalez to play in the Super Bowl, so I'm kind of bummed for him - he really deserved a shot at hoisting a trophy. But Atlanta just couldn't get the job done.
Go Ravens. Maybe Flacco can finally get some credit.

Before the game yesterday, a lot of Pats fans were "looking forward to Ray Lewis' retirement party." Whoops...
Go Niners!

Quoting AM744 (Reply 4): Not too fond on pass happy, no run, suspect defense teams.
Well to be Honest, the Pats lost the game for themselves. Baltimore's Defense has some holes, and almost lost to Denver due to it. Their last two games were not so much won by their defense, as lost by the opposing offense.
Nevertheless, I am glad to see a superbowl, that I imagine will be a lot less defense intensive than you would imagine.

I'm rooting for the Ravens...mainly because I went to high school with one of them, and this year would be the ten year reunion. It would be really cool to see a ring at the reunion.

Agreed!
As a Cleveland Browns fan, I'm rooting for the niners.

You probably won't, even if Baltimore wins, until after the start if next season.

Talk about the perfect script! We sent Lady Brady to his vacation a bit earlier than expected. Both coaches are brothers and are quite close. It's Ray Lewis's "swansong." Go Ravems! Wouldn't it be wild if Ray Lewis picked off SF and this was the game winner!

I hate to throw cold water on your parade Zippy, but I just saw an article on breaking news that said Ray Lewis may be in violation of NFL rules, as in "he might not even BE IN the big game"; (I didn't have time (at the time) to read the article though.
You know Ray........no telling what that dude may have gotten into.

RayRay will be in the game.
Apparently this was something that was brought up a couple weeks ago. An SI writer reported that he used a banned substance contained in Deer Antler Velvet Extract to help rehabilitate his torn tricep these last few months.
He has never failed a drug test, hes a huge SB story, yada yada....He will be in the game.

Just another possible yellow journalism story. For those who want SFO to win the big game. Still looking forward to the big game and Ray deserves to go out in style.

Quoting Starbuk7 (Reply 20): As a Steeler fan I will have to root for the Ravens. It is an AFC/NFC this as well, gotta stick with my conference.
Besides, we can't have them Niners tying us up in Super Bowl victories at six just yet.
Same here. Broncos fan. Sticking with the AFC. Not too fond of the 80's and 90's when the NFC won lots of Super Bowls in a row. The NFC Championship game was a de facto SB back then.
