I often tend to scan headlines on the internet for articles to read.

A lot of times, however, it is the headline itself that is worth passing on. This one, at time.com, was good enough IMO to start a new thread for headlines only:

Quote:

Icelandic Beef Pies Tested For Horsemeat, Found To Have No Meat At All

That was enough for me to start this thread for others to post headlines that bring a little smile or a shake of the head, etc.

This one appeared as the main front page headline in the San Francisco Chronicle at one point in the mid-1990's:

"12 S.F. Cops Accused by Chief of Lying."

Why more late payments on auto loans are actually a good thing

We have learned...nothing.

fr8... promise me you got that article from some sort of "joke Forbes" site, rather than the real Forbes?

Increasing delinquency means lenders have relaxed their standards, meaning the skids are greased for more auto sales? And they didn't put the word "sales" in quotation marks?

How would sales be actually increasing when the indicator is that those buyers representing the increase... aren't paying?

"Sixty-day delinquencies are significant because that’s the point beyond which a loan is likely to be written off."

PROMISE me this article is a joke....

The article was actually about the survivers and Government support services available for partners but the headline read:

Quality of life declines after death.

Yeah, I can see that.

From today:

"Un falso Batman entrega a un sospechoso a la policía y desapareció."

Trans:

"A fake Batman turns in a suspect to the police and disappears."

My question is: Is there a REAL Batman anywhere?

Yes, and he goes to my school: http://twitpic.com/atwnwo

He started making appearances around campus in September. I've only seen him in person twice.

My school is consistently ranked among the safest universities in the province...and now I know why.

Porn star Ron Jeremy cleared to go back to work

A cheerful Jeremy told the gossip site that docs have given him the OK to do what he does best. "They said to me at the clinic, that if you can walk up two flights of stairs you're able to have sex... so I walked up two flights of stairs and 3 ADDITIONAL stairs."
