Quote: TEACHERS are banning schoolkids from having best pals — so they don’t get upset by fall-outs.
Instead, the primary pupils are being encouraged to play in large groups.
Educational psychologist Gaynor Sbuttoni said the policy has been used at schools in Kingston, South West London, and Surrey.
She added: “I have noticed that teachers tell children they shouldn’t have a best friend and that everyone should play together.
“They are doing it because they want to save the child the pain of splitting up from their best friend.
I love England. I lived there nearly 4 years. I love the culture and history, and the historic never-say-die attitude and refusal to bow in the face of adversity. But WTF has happened to the UK in the past generation or two?
Someone should suggest to the kids to eat their flapjacks in a Chinese throwing star pattern. That will freak out the weak hearted and get their panties in a twist. They will probably shut down the schools.
Yes it is - I actually saw an auto sunshade that had a warning printed on it that said "do not operate vehicle with sunshade in place." I have to believe it's because someone probably sued the maker once because they got in a wreck and the maker had to pay.

Quoting francoflier (Reply 5): God forbid anyone would try to bring back any kind of discipline in school instead.
No. Let's just avoid pointy shaped food instead. Just easier.
There was an interview in this week´s Spiegel magazine with an American woman who had been living in France and noticed that French kids of all ages were usually better behaved than their American or British counterparts. She puts it tom the fact that French parents give their children clear borders within which they can behave, but any behaviour outside these borderrs is no being tolerated. Also they make it clear that the child isn´t the centee of the universe and the parents and others have rights too.
