Sad. Met her a few times, and was such a lovely charming and spirited person.

Eternal darkness we all should dread. It's hard to party when you're dead.

Sad news.

Brings back memories of my youth. Loved the Melbourne and Sydney pub scene and was lucky to see the Divinyls live on two occasions and loved their music.

RIP Chrissy.

Interesting how few responses here - it has been big media here in Oz, with most newspapers having multi-page coverage of her life.

Never met her, but saw the Divinyls a couple of times in the early/mid-80s. For me, the band was well past it when they released "I touch myself" but they still made a major contribution to 80s Oz music.

Of course they are most known in the US for I Touch Myself, but I remember hearing "Pleasure and Pain" on the radio some years before that. The video for I Touch Myself certainly made a splash here though. And I was definitely saddened by the news.
