Obviously it is time to plan a trip to China, in order to try the new doughnut-shaped hotel that is opening soon.
If I were behind this, I would've gone all-out with the doughnut theme; Vegas casino-like. Room décors would be based on doughnut flavors; for instance a "bismarck suite" where the sheets would be custard-colored and the bedspread would be chocolate-colored like the frosting. And of course the jelly-filled room (hmmm... might want to come up with a different name for that one), with of course raspberry sheets and a white powdered bedspread. Maybe even dust the bedspread each day with actual powdered sugar?
Say what you want to about China, but with this and the television center building in Beijing - plus lots o' others - they've got some real architectural design cajones over there.

It's cojones, but I agree with you. China has the best architecture going right now, hands down. I think it's wild how bold they are with their buildings, it makes downtown SF look like a third world country.
