A clown in full makeup and holding balloons has been seen standing "creepily" around the town of Northampton. People on twitter and elsewhere want the clown to be arrested, because it "just isn't right". Some people are complaining that they can't identify their assailant - ignoring, of course, that they are not be assaulted.
Personally I don't have any issues with clowns, although I know some people get irrationally freaked out by them. While this person may not be acting in best taste, are they really doing anything wrong? Should countries pass yet more laws to legislate morality?
The above post is my opinion. Don't like it? Don't read it.

Quoting Aesma (Reply 4): Now I'm wondering if it would actually be legal here in France where we have a law against covering ones face in public. I don't know if it applies to make-up.
I suspect it must be legal as there are a few regular 'living statues' around Place de la Capitol in TLS. If make-up covering the face were made illegal then the police here would be constantly arresting women for slapping too much on.
As Scott Adams said (Dilbert) 'If she doesn't wear make-up then I won't lie either'
