I took a ride in one of these today and actually liked it. It is relatively inexpensive and safe. Does anyone own a Honda Accord and have any Pro's or Con's of it? Thanks.

My mom has a 2001 coupe. Nice car, I guess. Comfortable seats, even in the back. Good sound system. Good performance. Has enough room. Sits a little low for my tastes, but it is designed to be a 'sportscar.'  Yeah sure

Why do so many people have/like the Honda Accord? It doesn't exactly have great performance.... Its not that popular in the UK...

I had that car for 4 years. I sold it and I bought Toyota Camry.
Camry is much better.
In first year I put on my Accord 55K miles  Smile heheh yeap. Twice a week trip to Canada and the other weeks trips to airports in North East US.
After that I put 30K in 3 years. I still see that car sometime on the street. Mechanic who lives near my house bought it. So I guess he knows what he is doing.

Depends which one you have, EGGD. The performance in the Type R is pretty damned good.

I've had a '95 EX coupe since August of '96. Bought it when it was about 13 months removed from the new car lot with 15k miles. Has about 125k now. All things considered, I would buy it again.

Some problems I've had:
- Had to spend about $250 to fix the air conditioning unit about 2 months after the warranty expired. Sounds like a lot, but it was actually a much more expensive bill. Honda cut me a break since I was just out of my warranty.
- Had to replace the starter about 18 months ago.
- Leather driver's seat shows obvious wear (when compared to the less-used passenger seat next to it). Actually had a split develop about 5 months ago.

Some things I've enjoyed:
- Gas mileage has always been good. I guess the tank is about 12 gallons and I could usually get about 350-400 miles on a full tank.
- Has been very reliable. All problems combined in six years have not totaled more than 7-10 days in a shop.
- Smooth ride. I've taken multiple trips of 800+ miles and they have been enjoyable.

Bottom line: now that my car budget is a little better than it used to be, I may look more to full-size SUV's and slightly more expensive sedans for my next purchases. However, if you are more in the Accord budget range, I don't think you can go wrong with a Honda.

Even X-Large one  Big grin
I slept in that car many many times. Mostly on 5th floor of parking garage at Pearson Airport  Smile Cheap hotel. Only $19 for whole day and you have free bathroom in the terminal so you can wash your teeth right on the spot  Smile

I love my 1995 Accord, it feels big, safe, yet fast! And looks good too! (except for when someone backed up into me in the parking lot) I'll take some pics and post them later on...
