I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions on the fastest way to get rid of a hangover? I went out and got trashed last night and am paying for it this morning, but I have to be at work by noon. Anything would help!

Besides moderating your drinking, the easiest way to avoid a disgusting hangover is to make sure you do the following:
* Eat a decent meal before hand and snack at parties.
* Before bed, drink as much water as you can.
* Take a vitamin C & B tablet before bed.
* Keep plenty of water near your bed.
* Take a Berrocca in the morning when you get up. (Australian hangover cure we have had for years.)

Don't mix alcohols when you are drinking, try and drink the same thing all night, otherwise you have this toxic cesspool of liquors in your stomach and that will not help you at all. Don't smoke (I know, it's difficult to avoid, but do your best). Take a Vitamin B complex and C and a couple ibuprofen before you go to bed, with at least 2 or 3 tall glasses of water. Eat some food before you sleep, and the heathier it is the better. Now if you have to go to McDonalds or White Castle, I guess that will do, but get something in your stomach.

For me, as someone earlier suggested, water is the key. There are some who have theories about alcohol types - I think its mostly old wives tales - alcohol is alcohol whether it comes from beer, wine, liquor, Windex, Chanel no. 5, etc...
I drink a Super Big Gulp size glass of water before bed, assuming I'm not in jail or in some hedge.
Also, my friends in medicine give themselves some kind of IV that allegedly instantly cures the hangover - could it be just glucose solution? I can't remember right now, but the cure doesn't involve fancy pharmaceuticals.

Have one or two aspirins *before* you go to bed. That will diminish your hangover the next day.
Also, try not doing what I did : taking the aspirin, and two minutes later there they went in the toilet - and of course, I didn't take some more after that
(oh, by the way, I had drank only 4 beers that night, and was not able to go to work the following day. Call me a wimp)

Drink a large glass of either OJ, water, or tea before going to bed. Have a cup of water by you bed as well, because you'll more than likely wake up during the night a little thirsty. When you wake up, take a couple of ibuprofen (Advil or an equivalent) and drink another large glass of OJ.
