RIP Edna Krabappel. I guess when a show has been on the air for 25 years, you should expect to lose some characters over the years........

I read somewhere that they were planning on killing off a character this season. Although I am sure it's already been planned, the real life death of a voice star may be a good reason to have a character pass away.

Will the Simpsons ever return to their former glory?

I mean, seriously, they stopped being good around 1999/2000 or so, got a little better mid-to-late last decade, then went downhill again. I stopped watching a couple years ago, so I'm halfway curious about how the episodes are these days.

How far in advance do they make cartoon episodes? Would her death have any impact on episodes planned to air this fall/winter?

I was raised by a cup of coffee.

Before The Simpsons Marcia Wallace was best known as the actress who played the receptionist on the Bob Newhart Show. She also was a regular on game shows such as Match Game and appeared in cameo roles on 1970s series such as The Love Boat. Truly a great character actress.

Sam Simon, one of the creators of the Simpsons show is also on his way. I don't mean that in a bad way though. He has been diagnosed with a terminal cancer. But amazingly, instead of mopping around he is making the best of this situation, helping out others. Check it out.
