I'm not trying to be morbid or anything, but what do you think would be the worst way to die? We all will have to go someday, but some ways are obviously more dignified and less painful than others.
My top three:
Burning to death
Being mauled and eaten alive by a bear
Being trapped on a doomed airliner and knowing that you are going to crash
I'm pretty sure you've all thought about it, so how about it?

The thought of dying in a plane crash does not bother me, because ultimately your demise is very quick. But things like drowning, being burned alive, mauled by an animal as someone said to me are the worst ways to die. If for some reason I get shot, I want it in the head or heart, so it's quick. Not in the gut, where a lot of internal damage could be done, and the death would then be slow.

Being stabbed to death multiple times would rank high in violent deaths, you would feel that you are being stabbed repeatedly knowing that you're dying while being in unbearable pain.

How about skydiving and your parachute doesn't deploy? You'd have a relatively long time to reflect on your life and make your peace with G-d on that one.

True...but you would probably die in mid-air instead of hitting the ground.

Actually, a guy here in Denmark came across what I'd say was the most worst way to die:
He was on one of these free-fall type of rides (where you're pulled up in the air, and then go down fast, VERY fast!). Anyway, apparently he was a bit *ahem* fat, and the safety bar was unable to close completely.
Anyway, at about 100 feet, and this is what some witnesses have told the police, he fell out of his seat, dropped the 100 feet to the ground, hit the engine case, and finally fell on the fence that surrounded the ride, thus being spiked to death

Being captured by Islamic terrorists, being tortured and having your throat cut while being filmed seems like a pretty bad way to go. If I had my choice it would be while doing my job and dying quickly in a crash.

Getting hit head-on by a speeding train (I was on an Amtrak train a few years back when a guy decided to "end it all"--just looking at the bloodied nose of the P42 locomotive made me sick).
Nerve gas (up there with suffocation or asthma, but much worse)
How about getting "intimately familiar" with the internals of a jet engine? On the gruesome scale it gets pretty high marks...

To be honest, suffocating and drowning doesn't bother me, as its more awkward than painful. Being stabbed, or in particular, throat cut, is far more of a bad way to go .
Of course, I can think of lots of ways, just give me time

To be killed in a train or a car crash is far more horrible than to be killed in a plane crash... and i think the worst way to die is to be killed in a car accident..
its stupid, and bloody..

Burning, Bleeding to death, Drowning, being eaten all bad.
I'd prefer to die in a plance crash if it goes quich. The worst way reall is when you are being murdered/executed and you know it. When death is not inevitable by nature but being inflicted by a person.

Most plane crashes go quick...but I think one of the worst ways to die would be in the AS MD-80 crash...falling from 18000 ft knowing youre going to die...like being in a falling elevator only much worse. Also...I head a story of a girl who fell into the machine area of a roller coaster and was shoved through a 6"X10" hole...

Hmm the thought of Having to make the choice of staying in a burning building 1000 feet above ground or jump to the streets below sounds like a pretty bad situation. The worst part about it would be making the way up to the ledge and letting go. Afte that, I am sure you would black out and that would be that.
