I was thinking about taking my kids to go see the Scooby Doo movie... But, I am not going to now. I will not allow my kids to watch this show on the big screen, or even on the Cartoon Network.

Scooby Doo and Shaggy are Marijuana addicts. Just look at them. They are always acting silly, and they are always hungry. I will not allow my children to be exposed to this savage and feral behavior. Big grin

Are they addicts or arent they?

(Excuse the sarcasmic intervention at the beginning of this post).

I always thought they were smokers but no one I told that to ever thought about it...its kind of like the "Purple" teletubby with a mans voice and a "handbag":kept on the DL even though everyone knows. Big grin

That out of the way, they're acting no stranger than some of the people I've seen in real life, so I don't see the point of shielding your children from them.
Shielding them from Donald Duck (random violence) or Tom and Jerry (constant violent animal abuse) I can understand, but law abiding dogs like Scooby Doo should be any kid's rolemodel despite possible minor problems in their feeding pattern.

Everytime the Mystery Machine's doors open, smoke comes out of the doors.

Scooby and Shaggy get the munchies all the time. Why do you think they can find food in an old abandoned house so easily?

My sister saw the movie and said that it was funny because some indirect references to smoking were made eg. the "Mary Jane" comment and a scene where smoke was coming from the van and everyone thought they were smoking inside...when they were actually grilling in it. If you ask me it seems like every "adventure" they have is just their hallucinations lol.
