Whats Up With Cairo?

I just saw on the weather forecast that next week temperatures are expected to reach 48C!!! I'm pretty sure thats not normal for Egypt so what the hell is going on!! Thats only 6 degree's off the world record (unless itwas 58C? I thought it was 54C?).

It must have been more than 56C since that was the temperature in parts of
Algeria on the 12th of July.

48 degrees celcius in Cairo doesn't suprise me, it gets extremely hot in the middle east/africa.

But it;s bloody boiling in London at the moment, with temps expected to reach over the 30's during the weekend! Strange but true  Big grin

The official world record is 58C from Libyan desert 1922, sure it been hotter but not recorded, so 56C is pretty close....
