Today, I tried this new "Pepsi Blue" and I have to say, it sucked (excuse my French). All of these new flavors, like Pepsi Twist, Dr Pepper Red Fusion, Mountain Dew Code Red, are just plain horrible, with one notable exception: Vanilla Coke.

I know we had a lengthy discussion about Vanilla Coke, but let me go on the record by saying how much much better it is than these other drinks. Coke hit a home run with this one.

And Pepsi, like Matt D, dropped the ball...

I was going to do this thread as well. I tried Pepsi Blue last night, and thought it sucked as well, and I like Pepsi. It had me wishing I was drinking Faygo or Shasta instead of that crap. I thought the Code Red Moutain Dew was decent, I love Pepsi Twist, (the Coke w/ Lemon falls short though), haven't seen the Dr. Pepper Fusion yet, and Vanilla Coke is very good. Pepsi indeed dropped the ball on this one.

Chris, where have you been? THis has been in discussion for a few months now, lol. Pepsi's answer to vanilla Coke is Pepsi Blue. The bottle says it s a cola berry fusion. They should just say "it sucks". It just hit the market here in Crapchester, so I'm sure you will see it pretty soon.

Yah! I just got back from the seeing Austin Powers in Goldmember, and before going to the movies I picked up a Pepsi blue, and brought it in. I thought it was alright. Here is my theory, these are the kind of drinks that you can take a "sip" of, but not really drink the whole bottle, just like the Vanilla Coke, its too sweet to enjoy, and diet coke with Lemon, ewww god. Yeah, so it'll be interesting to see how this drink goes over in Rochester.

I wasn't thrilled with Vanilla Coke-but I can't stand Coke to begin with. In college, I couldn't eat a pizza without a Pepsi, and couldn't eat one if someone had Coke instead of Pepsi.

I do very much enjoy Pepsi Twist. I like the touch of lemon in it.

Sucked. Tasted too much like an over-carbonated All-Sport.

I like Code Red Mountain Dew, I think it's awesome. I tried Vanilla Coke, it was good for the first few sips but you can't finish the bottle, you get tired of it after drinking half of it. I've never heard of Pepsi Blue, maybe it's because I live in Wichita or because I recently came back from a 3-week trip overseas. As for Pepsi vs. Coke, it's different in different places since they bottle them in different places. Some places have better Pepsi, some places have better Coke. I prefer Coke at least here.

Does anyone know when Vanilla Coke will hit Australia? I have heard a lot of good things about it and you guys make it sound really good. At the moment we have lemon Diet Coke, its been a big flop naturally.

OK here's my opinion on all the new drinks (feel free not to care)

Vanilla Coke- great, great stuff. goes well with falafel and most other foods.
MD Code Red- I'll take the "green" stuff
MD Blue Shock- no idea, i hate slurpees
Pepsi Blue-the thought of berry cola is disgusting, except for cherry cola of course. its gonna be like bad "blue raspberry" and bad cola.
haven't seen the dr. pepper stuff yet either.

(has anyone ever seen a blue raspberry?)

Vanilla Coke is great.
Pepsi Twist is great.
Mountain Dew Code Red sucks.
Pepsi Blue sucks. It looks like 2000 flushes blue treated toilet water and tastes way too strong. That and it dyes every inch of your mouth blue.

I'd like to know what is the reason people like Vanilla Coke.  Insane

The taste that reminds me of a combination of Coke and cream soda doesn't work for me!  Nuts
