I came across a little book today, and I found it very interesting.
I'm not going to reproduce the whole booklet by any means, but I wanted to put in a few Bible verses that it mentioned and some history.
Luke 19:41-44 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, 44 and shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
Luke 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. My note: Gentiles generally refers to non Jews.
About AD 70 Jerusalem was taken by the Romans; and the Jews were scattered.
Ezekiel 37:11-14 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, and shall put my Spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.
Very interesting that the Nation of Israel was formed right after the Holocaust.
As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.
1n 1917 when the British obtained Jerusalem from the Turks the Turks retreated when they saw the British Aircraft; Therefore Jerusalem was spared from a massive ground assault.
There are several verses stating how the Jews would return to Israel. I will provide a short list of references and a few verses.
Jeremiah 16:14-16 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; but, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.
Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the LORD, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.
And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.
And finally, the reason I support the Jews:
Genesis 12:3 and I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
There is very much more in the booklet that I read, I can tell you how to order it if you e-mail me.

Sorry mate but that is the most ridiculous thing ever. Base your support for a nation on moral grounds, but keep this religious tripe the hell away from it. Religion has already called enough trouble in the so-called 'Holy Land'.
I used to think the brain is the most fascinating part of my body. But, hey, who is telling me that?

There are many different ways to read the bible, i do not feel that the bible made references to the holocaust.
however i am a christain and will remain so.i do not think though that it is wise to use the bible in these circumstances, if you do that then muslims will simply use the koran and you wont get anywhere.
It is amazing what can be accomplised when nobody takes the credit

The bible has prophecy regarding many, mnay of the things that happened later on, some of which Jessman stated.
The one that always sticks in my mind: God becomes angry with the city of Tyre (a small city off the coast in the mediterranean sea.) God says somthing to the effect of "I will cast your city into the sea"
Skip forward: Alexander the great, on his rampage through the area, comes upon Tyre. The inhabitants of Tyre all retreat onto a small island further out in the sea. Alexander wont stand for this. He orders his men to demolish the city and throw the rubble into the Mediterranian to form a land bridge to the island. And thats exactly what happens. So what have we learned? God says, in the Bible, that he will cause Tyre to be thrown into the sea. What happened? Ancient Tyre is now lying at the bottom of the sea.

I will admit the birds flying prophesy is open to interpretation; The holocaust reference was mine alone; but other than that; everything else is pretty straight-forward. Jerusalem will be destroyed; the Jews will be scattered with the Gentiles in control of Jerusalem; God will put the Jews back in to their land.
This was all written and known prior to it being fulfilled. In fact right up until recent times the biggest tool people used to show that Bible-believing people were confused was that Israel didn't exist. The Jews were scattered and it would take a miracle to bring them back to Israel. God supplied the miracle.
Just because you don't believe it doesn't make it not true.

I've read "bible code" westjet. But it seems.....how to put this.....weird. It really doesnt fit with what anything talks about. As it says in the bible, God is not a god of confusion. What he says is put there right in your face for all to see. Im really hesitant to put any faith in the "codes" although they are intriguing.
