I've gotta agree with you that it looks like a Nissan. The new 5 looks as if it came out of the same styling studio as the Altima and G35.

I think it looks similar to the Acura CL

Am I the only one that sees the resemblance?

That 5 or 7 series looks like a piece of Japlastic...whats up with that? What happened to good old manly german engineering? Did BWM get taken over by a bunch of CHICS? They all look like chic cars.....ranging from cute college preppy chick or screaming queen in the M3 to the older MILF in the 7 series. Give me a hot looking Benz anyday. I spit on your quaint little BMW. BWM (BoughtWrongMotorcar)

I'll take this anyday.

I see it and I like it, thanks all,

Leftypilot79.. I have always liked the S-class. My father has the big "which I like" 1998 S320, and my brother has a 2001 S320. I noticed in the newer generation a lower quality interior plastics -any one else noticed that too?- for example when I squeeze the inner handle when I'm closing the door, it sounds like I'm holding a cheap peace of plastic like a remote control, now what I mean?, I was very disappointed.

I can't think of any other Sedan I would rather have than the Mercedes S-Class.

I believe the computer-enhanced "spy pictures" are pretty close to the final design of the new 5-series. Think of the car as a 3-series writ large.

Hopefully, at least for the US market we'll see a 525i (2.5-liter L-6 around 175 bhp), 530i (3.0-liter L-6 around 225 bhp), 540i (4.0-liter V-8 around 290 bhp) and eventually a new M5 (supercharged 4.0-liter V-8 around 420 bhp). Unlike the current M5, the new M5 will offer as an option a variant of the M3's Sequential Manual Gearing (SMG) system, which will allow for fully-automatic operation of gear shifting. I've heard the new 5-series will have iDrive, but it will not be as complicated as the iDrive system on the new 7-series.

I agree Arnage is the Ultimate....but still its a different league from S class and 7 series.MOre then twice the price....Lets wait for the Maybach..
