I don't really know much about songs from the 70s, but the stuff I've heard sounds pretty good. I was wondering if some of you could list songs you like from that decade, like stuff you can bob your head to. However, I'm not really looking for 70s classic rock. Thanks.

Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street; Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody and Fleetwood Mac's Rhiannon are my favourites.

Oh boy, ware do I start? Big grin

I love the 70s!
I have over 2000 LPs and over 1000 8track tapes so picking favorites would be very difficult.
Let's just say I like lots of:
Gino Vannelli
Doobie Brothers
Earth Wind & Fire
Sergio Mendes & Brasil '77
Electric Light Orchestra
Issac Hayes
Return To Forever
Steely Dan
and many many many others.

You really don't want me to list it all, do you? I couldn't if you did anyway. The 70s were my formative years when I did not do such things as smoke pot at a Zepplin concert, etc, etc, etc.

Superfly is pretty close. I add Deep Purple, The Strawbs, Rennaisance, Rick Wakeman, Blue Oyser Cult, Nazareth and Black Sabbath.

I am limited to 800 LPS, 1700 cassettes and no 8 tracks so my opinion must be suspect. Perhaps when I pick up the Maruader from Superfy this winter, I can add to my collection.

I always thought I would work until I died. I find that I am ready to not work anymore.
