My favorite state is Colorado, and I love the mountains. But since there are more than a few states, not only in the US, but also around the world, I would like to know what little corner of the world peope perferr. So what is your favorite place?

Hey Chris, are you an aviation enthusiast at all? You only seem to post on this part of the forum!
Anyway my favourite state is Hawaii. I was there last year and it was fantastic even thought we only stayed on the Island of Oahu. I might be going again this summer. Actually I was supposed to be gone by the end of this month but that seems uncertain after recent incidents (read other topics). Hawaii has great beaches and everything and it has no death penalty !

I live in Chicago but it is ok for me. I hate the cold weather in Chicago! If, I am going to retirement and I will move to Colorado near Denver area. I would buy a nice wooden house up the near mountains (not high).. I like dry air. I hate humid weather. Argghh! Anyway, I like Colorado very much. I can't wait to get retire sometimes 25 to 30 years to go!

I've been to 32 states so far and have liked them all, but my favorite's definitely Wisconsin. Nice people, clean air and water, outdoor sports, cheese, beer and brats, and the Green Bay Packers!!!!!! (not to mention the best airline in the world, Midwest Express!)

Well Western Australia is my favourite (plus where I live). It really is 2.5 million square kilometres of sheer beauty. In the south you have rainforest, in the north you have the most rugged and beautiful country in the world, to the east you have the historical mining towns. Plus we have the best beaches in the world. No snow during winter (in fact I think it snowed in Perth once back in 1979 but it melted nearly 1 km above the ground). And the thing that makes WA the best....well.. I live there

Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee, and Northern Florida. The people are the nicest (Southern) folk you will find anywhere in the world.
I actually live in Florida, and while it must be said the beaches etc. are the most beautiful (in the north of the state where there are no people) in the world, (subjective yes I know) the Southerners in the whole south are the nicest people I have ever met. (Although I may be just a tad partial!!!)
Georgia has the most culture and history of any Southern State, and Tennessee and Alabama are friendly beautiful places to live. (Bar Birmingham itself!)

Hah! NY is one of the nicest DESPITE the city I've been to 40 or so of the 50 states and they all had their good points...but I like the eastern half of the US. Lush, green and hilly...though the flatter midwestern states are nice too...not nearly as featureless as many would think they are.
