As a Bears fan, I usually don't pay much attention to the AFC. And I certianly would never root for the team that killed our playoff hopes last year with a couple of cheap shots.
But given all that, I am overjoyed at Spurrier's undoing. After everyone had been saying how his "fun 'n gun" offense would revolutionize the NFL, just look at what happens when he plays a team with actual defense!
Good job Phili, for not giving up ONE offensive touchdown. Good job for dismantling the 'Skin's defense. Quick note to Spurrier- this ISN'T college football, and you're NOT at Miami anymore. This is the NFL. You need to play on BOTH sides of the ball here.
Happy contrails - I support B747Skipper and Jetguy

Was does the AFC have to do with an NFC Eastern division battle?
I love all the people who are now all over Spurrier. Dude is 2, count'em TWO games into his NFL coaching career. Sorry, but that is not long enough to judge the fun-n-gun. What Spurrier has done with the lack of talent he has, has been amazing. I hate to say it, but if say Donavan McNabb was the QB of the Fun-N-Gun, it would be a different story. Wait till Spurrier gets some decent talent to work with over the course of a season, then judge his offensive style. Spurrier has won everywhere he has coached, but you have to give him linger than 2 games.
Oh, and Bears Fan. Your offense didn't look to prolific against the Falcons.....

Well, those who have doubts about the Eagles...I hope those doubts are removed now after their 37-7 trouncing of the Skins last night...Spurrier gets all the publicity (anyone notice how the little MNF opening skit was blatantly favoring the Skins and Spurrier)...but Spurrier also gets a humiliating defeat on national TV...
Welcome to the big leagues Steve...

Yeah the 'Skins are a few players short of a contending team but you had to figure they'd put up more of a fight than they did. Philly's defense is good, but I didn't think they'd completely shut down the Redskin offense the way they did. Still I'm a Spurrier supporter and I know he's going to do well so long as Dan Snyder gives him a fair shot.
