There has been a report saying Mel B is trying to revive The "Spice Girls" after her troubled-solo project.
Mel B arrived at LA on the 23rd to talk with Mel C for a discussion of reviving "Spice Girls". She even asked Geri Halliwell to return and quote "Spice Girls is not dead yet".
Mel B used to have USD$30 million of properties. After she gone solo, no record company is willing to release an album/single for her due to poor sales. She's now concentrating in tv series. Her status now is "near bankrupt".
Currently, Mel C and Geri Halliwell's solo gone pretty well. Their record company is Virgin/EMI.
There's a speculation that if the upcoming 2nd album from Mel C sells very well, she may not return to the team anymore.

Spice Girls = chronicle selloutism
to heck with the rip off scene! I'm sick of seeing lil' girls wandering around and trying to look like those superstars... can't you just get a style of your own!? POP music really has a bad influence on today's youth, IMO.

POP IS DEAD!! especially premixed, premeasured, prepackeged muscial spam. (Spice Girls, BSB, NSync etc. etc.)
nononono its just taken a new form!! There are hundreds of manufactured bands and acts but they have given themselves specialized genres. Just look at Jungle, its just about the easiest music to make in the world, its even easier than Dance (which can have some good vocals), trance etc...
Even Punk is being abused by stupid teeny boppers, take Avril Lavigne for example. 100% pop but she wears clothes she thinks (well she doesn't think..), the record company thinks makes her look punk, slags people off in news interviews and even contradict herself in her songs (that she wrote *wink*), 'Complicated' was about her trying to be punk when shie is most definetely pop.

I loved the Spice Girls but they were a product of their time, which has passed. They were a big part of my musical life for a year but I don't miss them now because many other artists have taken their place, and I certainly don't want them back in 2002! Mel B's chronic financial mismanagement is not my fault, why should I be made to suffer? It's not the rest of the band's fault either, so why should their cred (shaky at the best of times) be dragged down by a gruesome reunion no-one wants. Spice "Girls"? Geri is 30 for god's sake. They made one great album, one shite album and one album no-one has any idea about because I didn't buy it and I don't know anyone who did. In the name of the sweet baby Jesus, let's leave it at that. Goodbye.

I can only shout out one phrase if they come back....."YEAH........SPICE GIRLS 4 EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!" I used to yell it all the time where I used to work at whenever they came on the radio....I actually wound up being called "Spice Boy" by the whole crew since I worshipped them so much!!!(still do, but not to the extreme that I used to!) hahaha.........

Chepos is pretty close....to me Avril Lavigne looks like Jennifer Aniston on a really bad trip, and as far as 'her' music is concerned 'Complicated' has been ripped off from that other psuedo punk/pop person 'Pink'. The verse in 'Don't let me get me' is identical to the one from 'Complicated'-it's just been slowed down a bit.
The Spice girls had three good years and as soloists have been very average. 'Never gonna be the same again' by Mel C (and Lisa 'Lefteye' Lopez) is the only decent thing to have come from a spice girl since 1998.
you can't buy time but you can sell your soul and the closest thing to heaven is to rock'n'roll

I think if they didn't have the stigma of Spice Girls (girl power, the shoes, etc.) they would have done much better. I really liked their Forever CD. They really sounded like they were trying to be serious singers. If they can lose that steriotype, they will do well. But I doubt it.
