For those of you with some cash to spare, and in a travelling mood, Argentina - and specifically Buenos Aires - seems a very reasonable choice at the moment! I found this article while reading this newspaper's travel section. It might interest those of you who aren't familiar with the city, or even the country.

Since long time ago, it was my favorite place to visit on layovers...
Then in 1993, it became my home...
If you like Paris, Milano or Madrid, you will love Buenos Aires...
Great people, freat food, great entertainement all night long...

Brazil is quite cheap too, the 'real' has devalued somewhat against the greenback....you might well get a bargain flight to EZE (Bs As) ex-SAO/RIO on a variety of airlines...I know Swiss fly SAO-EZE, might be an interesting little 'excursion'.
