**** Warning: Political incorrectness follows ****

Last month a worldwide survey was conducted by the United Nations.

The only question asked was:
"Would you please give your honest opinion about solutions to the food shortage in the rest of the world?"

The survey was a huge failure:

In Africa they didn't know what 'food' meant...
In Eastern Europe they didn't know what 'honest' meant...
In Western Europe they didn't know what 'shortage' meant...
In China they didn't know what 'opinion' meant...
In the Middle East they didn't know what 'solution' meant...
In South America they didn't know what 'please' meant...
And in the USA they didn't know what 'rest of the world' meant

Where did you stick that shaft of yours, KROC? I thought the 20 or so identical threads would be enough...

Mildly amusing, although I don't get the South America bit. They don't know what 'please' means? Huh? Or is it meant to be 'peace'?

Hey Alpha, get a sense of Humour mate.

It's no different to what we say about the Kiwis and the kiwis say about us
It's no different to what we say about the Poms and they say about us
It's no different to what the world say about France
It's no different to what the the Americans talk about themselves. They don't know where the rest of the world is.

I will ignore the laughably ignorant comments made by National_757 and go straight to there "....and in Europe and Australia, they wanted the Americans to take care of the entire food shortage......" comment.

Dont flatter yourself Alpha 1, you guys would probably have botched it up anyway, or put in some leader only to have him bite you in the ass a decade later.

Kind Regards,

QANTASforever.

Alpha_1,

I'm flattered, you wouldnt want to make me blush. I'm sorry that you think that I'm ignorant, but my feelings toward your comment can be likened to your feelings toward mine.. complete apathy.

I must admit that I should have specified that I was refering to the American Government and not the people. You guys get a bit edgy over that I know.

QANTASforever

P.S:BTW in my last sentence "You guys" was in reference to the american people. Big grin

Alpha1,

Should I explain? I was amused because you turn a simple joke into a flamefest. I didn't make the joke up, I just passed it on. It was a funny joke, and it's interesting to note exactly who took offence and what they are. I'd have posted it even if it had a humous reference to Australia in it.

As for your pathetic attempt at a comeback, i'll offer you a piece of advice. Australia has *never* asked America to go feed the world. Indeed, I would suggest to you alone (because of your attitude) that American has asked us to help it far more than the other way around. Indeed, they're asking us to help them right now. When was the last time we asked you to help us? (of course, I don't expect an answer because past history shows that you will merely rant in response).

And like Q4e, I refer to your Government, not the people, and only made the response because of your invite to respond. You are a funny lad.

Seems some people will argue about anything  Smile/happy/getting dizzy.

If you have a problem with the humour do feel free to write a letter to the administrator requesting that the rules be changed so that humour relating to America is permanently banned ..
