I'll be in Nassua Bahmas next month on a cruise. We'll be in Nassau from 7AM Tue to 1AM Wed.

I'm interested in going on www.powerboatadventures.com

It looks awesome. Has anyone been on this trip?

You're going to step foot on a STINKPOT!  Angry As a ragboater, I'm not amused.

Sorry. You have now left the world of aviation and entered the maritime world. Stinkpot is the unaffectionate nickname given to powerboats by sailors. The powerboaters (stinkpotters) return the favor by referring to us as ragboaters, for the large quantities of cloth that we hang on our boats, in a vain attempt to actually move. We, however, has a strong dislike of iron sails (engines), which is why we continue to go nowhere. This is an old rivalry, predating Boeing vs. Airbus, or majors vs. commuters, as it began as soon as steam ships were invented.

I would give you an opinion on this trip, but my view is so blatantly biased, that I think is will be better to let other people tell you what they think. In the end, though, it's whatever floats your boat. Big grin

I didn't know that powerboating and sailing had to be mutually exclusive. One or the other.

I've been sailing for 15 years and have never heard of "stinkpotters" and "ragboaters".  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Being the owner of a C&C 110 isn't going to stop me from tearing across the ocean in a 1000 HP speadboat on my vacation.

You might be happy to know I was planning on doing this excursion, www.iacchallenge.com But it doesn't look hard core enough for me. If I don't get a turn at the helm I'm not going !!!!  Angry
