Been watching CNN regarding the MD/DC/VA sniper attacks and I get the feeling Chief Moose is over his head in this investigation. Anyone else have an opinion on this?

Yep, you pretty much summed it up.

BTW, anyone else notice that if you close your eyes, you'd swear it was Tim Meadows talking?

Frankly I am still surprised that the FBI has not fully taken over the investigation at this point. You now have 6 counties, plus the District of Columbia involved in this investigation. All for all the cheery talk about cooperation between agencies, there are just as many stories of information being lost or not getting across.

But now that the sniper(s) is supposedly talking to police it might make sense to keep it under the control of the Montgomery County PD for that purpose alone.

And just my 2 cents... I think any police official would be overwhelmed by a case like this. I think it is unfair to characterize Chief Moose in that manner.

Moose is probably just acting as the spokesman just so that there is a sense on continuity on the information that is released.

Good grief. Will Ferrel pretending to be Harry Caray would make a better spokesman.

Well he was the one speaking on the first night, it is probably reassuring to see the same person giving the updates.

No point in changing pitchers in the middle of the match.

If your pitcher sucks, of course you call the bullpen.

True, but for some reason I don't think that Jack Webb is going to be available.

I like Moose! Give the guy a break; this is the most intense domestic manhunt/investigation in memory. And this morning, it looks as if they have cracked the case.

Also, I love the way he ripped into that fool Katie Couric over the Tarot card leak. How about the interviews with reporters covering the investigation? The arrogance of the media as this case has developed disgusts me.

Go Moose! I support a Rudy-Moose 2004 ticket for the White House!

Now that we apparently have the guys who did it, hats off to every investigator. They did their job, and this was an extremely tough case.
