I attended the Eagles-Colts game yesterday at Veterans Stadium, and it had to be the worst played game by the Eagles that I've ever witnessed. They just played horrible on all sides of the ball, and made James Mungro and Reggie Wayne look like they were superstars. Marvin Harrison always had at least 3 or 4 steps on Troy Vincent and made it look like a piece of cake. Don't even get me started on Andy Reid and clock management. With about 30 some seconds to go in the first half there was confusion about what play to call, and McNabb was just doing circles around the line waiting for something from the sideline, but they all just looked at each other. They even had two timeouts left and didn't use them! Instead, they let the clock run way down to the half. It started to look like a Phillies game by the middle of the 3rd quarter because about 3/4 of the sold out stadium left. I'm the biggest Eagles fan, don't get me wrong, as a still think the Bowl is in their future this year, but this was the worst game I've ever seen played. I just had to vent a little of my frustration. Hopefully we'll bounce back from this next week.
Also, if any of you know about the famed "700 level" at Veterans Stadium, it amazes me how people can be so dumb as to wear an opposing teams' jersey, go up there and taunt a bunch of half drunk Eagles fans who you are out-numbered by a ratio of about 4,000 to 1. If you don't bother them, they won't bother you. They don't care if you are rooting for your team, but if there not doing anything to you, and you start throwing stuff and trying to pick a fight, that's just asking for trouble. I do get embarrassed for the reputation of Eagles fans when they beat up on someone for no reason though, because that's just plain stupid. Usually it's Eagles fans beating up each other. This all makes for good off field entertainment, as usually the whole stadium turns and watches. I was sitting in the 3rd row of the 500 level, so your really close to all of it.

I agree wholehartedly about yesterday's game...as a long time Eagles fan, I was absolutely disgusted by what I saw...they played like crap, thats the bottom line...let's hope this isnt the beginning of a self-destruction trend...Im not overly worried about Arizona next week, but San Fran on MNF two weeks from today really concerns me...
Regarding the fans at the Vet, they are by far the worst in the league...so bad Im sure your aware of the courtroom IN the Vet to prosecute offenders on the spot! Its so bad my parents wont let me go to a game, even with them, because they are scared of the fans...My dad took me to a pre-season game in 1995 (my first and only Eagles experience at the Vet), and the fans then were the same as the fans now: rowdy and out of control...its a disgrace for sure...

In the early eighties, there was a game between the New York Giants and the St. Louis Cardinals that went into overtime. It was the dullest game I've ever seen. Every play was lackluster. There were hardly any fans in the stadium by the time the game finished.

How about the first tie in five years in the NFL yesterday? Most interesting. And concerning the Eagles, they sure didn't impress me yesterday. They'll rebound pretty strong next week though, I'd hope.

Nobody obviously watched the Bears yesterday. How you blow a 21 point lead going into the 4th quarter, when your defense has only given up ONE 3rd down conversion all day...
Then again, when your longest pass play of the game is from a handoff to your wide reciever who throws a 35 yard touchdown pass to your OTHER wide reciever...
Or when your fragile 36 year old backup quarterback is sent on a QB sneak in the first quarter when your starting QB has a seriously screwed up throwing arm and your 3rd string quatertback just plain sucks... well, maybe we deserved to lose.

the eagles were just pathetic yesterday...both the Defense and the offense didn't show up to play apparently. The colts Offense was struggling coming into the game and their first two RBs were injured as well...and their defense just plain sucks. I suffered in Fantasy football bc I had duce staley and the Eagles Defense and they both sucked bad...

I was watching the Bears-Patriots game last night, as I had nothing else to do, and I have to say that that was one heck of an ending. 31-30 in the Bears favor and the Patriots throws a touchdown, that is only just a touchdown, as the reciever managed to tap his left foot down in the end zone, just before paying the media a visit (if you cath my drift )
