I somehow think that this is a relevant topic in today's world - more people wear (or need to wear but don't) vision correction. Hence, the following simple questions:

1. Do you need vision correction?
2. If yes, do you wear vision correction?
3. If you do, spectacles or contacts?
4. What power lens do you need on your 'blinder' eye?
5. If you wear contacts, what brand?

I'll be back later posting my own stats.

Thankfully never needed any corrective lenses and the eyes work as well as they ever have.

Contacts. I've been wearing them for a year now and I can really see the advantage. Unless I'm really forced to, I don't see myself wearing glasses again!
My 'blinder' eye is -3.00. My better eye (the left) is -1.50.
I wear Frequency 55 Aspheric. Durable, cheap and very comfortable!!!

By the way, 'Viva l-ghamjin' means 'Long live the blind people'!

I used to wear glasses. Then I moved to contacts. Then one day, I woke up and my vision was fine. Nearly 20/20. I swear, the contacts must have fused to my eyes or something. Whatever happened, it's freakin' AWESOME!

Shawn Patrick: were your contacts soft or RGP? If they were the latter there is an explanation.

My right eye is: -5.25, my left eye is only: -1.00

I also wanted to try an operation by laser but at the moment I am so happy with my contacts that I do not need it. Maybe I will try an operation next year when I have more time for it.

Yes.

Yes.

3. If you do, spectacles or contacts?

Spectacles/glasses.

4. What power lens do you need on your 'blinder' eye?

I believe it was last O.S. (left eye) +2.25, with an axis correction as well.

5. If you wear contacts, what brand?

N/A. My corneas are too acute to wear contacts.

I am nearsighted and astigmatic in both eyes. My left is close to if not legally blind without correction. I also have a focusing spasm in both eyes, worse in my right eye than my left. I would not make a good pilot!

Erm, about -6.25?

I don't wear contacts.
