Its a shitty holiday this year. It snuck up on me like a fart in the breeze. I hate this early Chanukah crap.

Im sad because this is my first Chanukah without my grandfather who recently passed away who was immensley important to me. And I'll be sitting in the DHL hub every night of Chanukah this year flying peoples crappy christmas presents around instead of being with familly.

But in the spirit of it all I'm happy to be alive.

What is it with Jews and money?  Laugh out loud

Now before anyone decides to jump down my throat, I say this because the Jewish people I know only ever get money; they don't get pressies but money.

Why is it so?

Jewcrew? I'm not even Jewish, but that title sounds a bit, well, not-quite-right.

scotty:

josh is correct. I can't remember why but giving money is a chanukkah tradition and is called "gelt". You may also know it as the sweet chocolate candies in the shape of gold coins that are meant to be traded while playing with a dreadle.

JETPILOT,

While you're sitting around the DHL hub twiddling your thumbs, round up the Chief Pilot and tell him you know a certain "lear pilot" who'd love to sit sidesaddle in a seven-two - or the bus.  Big grin

Happy Chanukah, y'all.
