Simple really. My first spotting experiences were at RDU in the fall of 1971 and spring of 1972. As Piedmont was the dominant carrier and I love the FH-227 and YS-11, IMissPiedmont was a natural.

IMissHughesAirwest was a close second but a bit cumbersome.

I am glad I was around to fly before de-regulation.

I was originally TWAneedsHELP because when I first joined airliners.net - I loved TWA but was terribly concerned - even angered- with how it was being managed and run. However, as the years went by - most of my criticism either evaprorated or I just ignored it and in TW's dying days - I came to admire and respect the once great carrier even more - so I changed the name - ironically at a time when TWA needed the most help.

Well TWA got the "help" - through a Canadian named Carty and in a sign of my great appreciation I switched to a new name: TWAmerican, which after a run-in with ADG, was quickly banned. So, in a compromise deal - TWAmerican and TWAneedsHELP were deleted and I was supplied a mandatory "vacation"  Laugh out loud. Upon return, I agreed to use TNNH with a promise to be a good boy.

I'm user: "TNNH" on airwhiners - but rarely post there.

Well, 707 is the aircraft I flew on for the first flight of my life, about 11 years ago.

CMF is the IATA code for Chambery-Aix les Bains airport, in France (LFLB). I just have to raise my head a bit at work to see planes taking off from CMF-runway 36, so... it was unavoidable.

My last flight before I joined a.net was with Sabena on the A 330-200. I liked the airline and the aircraft, so I choose a combination of both for my username.

Few years ago I've read Lindbergh's biography written by Scott Berg.
I was so amazed with Charles Augustus Lindbergh that I decided to have his nickname as mine. It supposed to be Lucky Lindy but it was too long so I went just with Lindy.

When I joined Airliners.net (much earlier then what you can see in my profile, my nickname was LOT767-200ER,) - because my first transatlantic flight was on LOT 767-200ER SP-LOA "City of Gniezno" and I love that aircraft. And after some time I switched to Lindy.
