I was looking at some of the classes I will be taking later on in high school and came across environmental science as an option. What is environmental science and what did you think about it? Thanks a lot!

I minored in environmental Science in college and I can tell you it's a great course to take on the high school level. Simply put it's the study of the Earth's environment from natural impacts on the environment to man's affects on the environment. You'll study everything from volcanic eruptions in the Philippines affecting the weather in New York, to the dumping of raw sewage in the ocean, to complex trophic systems of a pond. It will really open your mind to the environment around you.

Environmental Science, I would expect, should be about topics ranging from ecosystems and their makeup to environmental hazards, like pollution, etc. I've had similar classes (but never titled "Environmental Science) at the HS and college level and liked them very much. I would imagine that a lot of what the class is really about depends on the teacher, or (unfortunately), what textbook he or she probably uses. If you're really interested, you might ask the instructor about the class and what it's all about. Hope this helps
