An interesting note about the AMV8 is that the prototype was built by the Bombay-based design firm DC Design, headed by Dilip Chhabria. Chhabria is well known in Indian auto circles for his customized versions of various cars on the Indian roads. Here's a newslink about it:

Only one downside for Aston I can see: who would buy a DB7 or a Vanquish when this is available so much cheaper?

I'd say they've got the rear end sorted, but the front end doesn't look quite as good as on others (Vantage etc). The headlights are too small for such a bulky front end, maybe if there were more of them it'd look a little better  Laugh out loud
