Being a woman myself, I've noticed few other women posting within the forums here, so I was wondering - where are the women? Please post and introduce yourself, along with any info you wish to provide. We women gotta stick together, you know
Oh and to be fair:
I'm Heather, 19 years old, college student in Conway AR (40 miles NW of Little Rock), permanent resident of Memphis. (Though you can get all of that from my profile, but I thought I'd save you the trouble.) I got interested in aviation when I was trying to get over my fear of flying - I read all I could about the safety of planes, then I somehow stumbled across this website about a year and a half ago (though I only recently joined) and I've been hooked ever since!
So come on ladies, introduce yourself!

Welcome to the Non-aviation forums.
I've been watching your post in the Civil threads. It would only be a matter of time before you hopped over here.
I know all the ladies here in these forums.
We have SophieMaltese, Barcode, RealHigh, VirginLover, Climbout, ADG, Pilothica737, Redngold, Gumah and maybe a few others.
Just look at at my respected users list. Most of the women like me... as a user that is!
Anyone who is a fan of the 727 and NW is a friend of mine!
That includes you Miss 727_Gal.
I see you live in Memphis.
I have lots of family down there and if you know any Fords, we are most likely related.
Welcome to the Non-aviation forums. I agree, women need to stick together.

RednGold (and Canyon Blue) here.
I write like a guy but I'm definitely a gal. Heather, I started spotting and hanging around A.net for the same reason. I'm now 500 miles from the closest family member, and after a horrific crash on my first trip to see them, my parents decided to pay for plane tickets. Well, ya can't be afraid of flying with that kind of deal!
I've sort of become the "senior spotter" out at KCLE... Most likely to be arrested while finding new angles. Currently I've been sitting right next to the fenced in area for the VASI to Rwy 24R (whenever they get around to installing it.)
vital stats: 28, perpetual college student (though I have a degree already), other nicknames are "bandimal" (marching band freak) and "Cat lady" (7 year volunteer at animal shelter but you won't see me touch a dog.) I have two cats and a reasonably sized apartment. Oh, and just coincidentally my apartment is on the ILS approach to Runway 24L.

Hi! Well.......I'm another one of those woman who are on A.net!!!
I was born in Chapleau ON and I currently live in Toronto ON and have been on A.net for a bit......my boyfiend is a pilot and he introduced me to this site.
As a child a few of my family members had planes and I was one lucky girl......I got to fly up in the "Great White North" and become familiar with the many many lakes of Northern Ontario....... also I "Love" float planes .
My boyfriend and I spend almost every other weekend spotting planes at either Pearson International, Buttonville, Oshawa, Toronto City Centre, Lyndsay, Brampton and many other little airports in the surrounding towns.

Hi 727 Gal,
I am here too! I, like you stumbled across this website while trying to find information on fear of flying. I really got into the pictures as well as this non-aviation stuff and I basically read more than I post. I find the political stuff that goes on here quite fascinating and I like to read what both sides have to say. It make for pretty entertaining stuff.
I live in North Orange County, California with my husband and 10 year old dog (Shih Tzu) Tessy. I work as a Human Resources Director for my father-in-laws business. Life is good!

Not a girl, but I just came across the Non-Aviation forum and noticed the thread is up. I just wanted to invite any women that read this thread to pay a visit to the tech/ops forum, it would be nice to have some female input over there. You may find it more boring than the other forums but well.... just in case, see you around.

Hi 727 Gal,
Nice to meet you! I am probably the oldest female here! All the others are so young, such as yourself. But I have a ball here with the guys making me laugh. I've always loved spotting aircraft and have been flying on planes for 30+ years. This site was a dream come true for me. I thought I was the only crazy lady who loved airplanes, so it's nice to see I'm not alone. Anyway, I'm just one more female checking in!

Whew, I'm so relieved this thread wasn't ignored. Thanks to you women who have introduced yourself, and please ladies, wherever you are, come out of the woodwork (or off the plane, however that expression goes here ). Thanks!

You and I were both one of RealHigh's 'cutie guys'.
I haven't seen her in over a year. I don't even know if she still lives here in San Francisco anymore.
I remember her talking about studying in Belgium for a year. I don't know if she is doing that or not.

727_Gal, welcome. No, I am not a lad of airliners.net, but I feel like extending a welcome to the newest female member of the forums. Btw, don't be afraid of Superfly, he knows how to treat the ladies .

I'm another female member!
I've been a member for nearly a year. I was recommended this by a fellow aviation fan. I'm very much into ATC. I have been accepted to train as an ATCO, starting in July...but I don't think I really want to do it. I really don't fancy moving about the country for years! It'll still be my hobby though!!
I'm 25. Its my birthday today..woo hoo! I live in Didsbury, Manchester, about 7 miles from MAN. I work for Manchester Council in Housing Benefits. I have two cats and REDNGOLD, I could do with some advice..How do I stop them pissing all over the house? They are 4.5 months old and should know better!!
I'm getting married on 13th September this year and am trawling round shops trying to find the perfect dress!
