Apparently years of in-breeding amongst the banana population is spelling doom for the future of the banana. Once the filler of twinkies and currently a split with ice cream. The banana may go the way of the Dodo, or the Passenger pidgin due to a lack of genetic variety that makes the plant vulnerable to diseases.
