unless i missed it, i didn't see any topics about this. did anyone see that show "are you hot?" last night? i am totally disgusted by it! i think that it totally sends the wrong message to people who have self-esteem problems and the like. the way that they were tearing apart people who were in great shape and looked really good just makes me wonder what lengths the 15-year old girl with an eating disorder will go to to try and become "hot", ya know?

I actually watched the full two hours while on the phone with my girlfriend. I truly believe after those two hours, I'm about 23 IQ points lighter today.

basically, there are three "celebrity" judges - the only one that i recognized was lorenzo lamas (so his career must be doing really well). what they do is bring people out in swimwear and then give them a rating on a scale of 1-10 based on sex appeal, there face and body. some of the comments and remarks were totally rude...but i guess they need to be in order to gain ratings. anyway, like i said, there are some very well "put together" people that were being torn apart and it just makes me feel bad for anyone who's doing the wrong things to get the perfect body like being anorexic or bulimic. sorry for the run-on sentences!

I missed the show but I just checked out the website. First of all, I wonder why anyone would even bother sending their pic in to be critiqued like that...of course they probably didn't know they were going to be rudely insulted which it sounds like they were. I'm curious as to what each person was told? A couple of the girls I definitely thought needed to gain some weight and most of the guys were downright icky in my opinion. I did not see a single guy on there that I'd go, "Wow, he's hot." I'd have to pick more based on who is the least yucky than which guy is the hottest from their 32 finalists. That stuff is all such a matter of opinion anyway.
