But with others talking of pictures of the universe, I thought I should share something that's a little closer to home.

Uranus is a very bland planet compared to Neptune. There is virtually no contrast at all in those clouds and the entire planet just looks like a green marble. It proved to be a big disappointment when Voyager 2 flew by it in 1986. Astronomers were hoping to see some cloud patterns etc but ended up seeing nothing. Neptune is a much more interesting planet visually speaking!! It has cloud bands, upper level cirrus clouds and it even has it's own Great Dark Spot like Jupiter(although i think it has disappeared in recent photos by Hubble)
